Wednesday Whereabouts: Our Christmas

As always, the last week of school always involves lots of classroom holiday parties and crafts.  I try to attend as many of them as I can!  Luckily, none of them overlapped this year, so I was able to make it all of their parties.

Notice the arrows on the sign.

Probably the jolliest and most animated Santa I’ve ever visited!  Loved that the kids got to spend so much time with him!

My parents came in town for one night last week to visit us and drop off our presents.  This year is the first year we weren’t in Charlotte around the holidays.  I’m so glad they had time to visit!  Always too short!  Some of y’all asked me where my dress is from here.  I got it here and it was just restocked in all sizes.  And my scarf is on major sale!

This past Friday night, we went out for a date night and saw a Christmas Variety Show at Charleston Music Hall.  At the end, I had to meet my favorite two people of the night!  If you’re local or just visiting, this show will definitely get you in the Christmas spirit.  Next year, I’m bringing the kids!

Excited to announce that not only are two of my sisters expecting in the new year, but youngest sister (far right) just got engaged last Friday!  We are sooo excited to have so many things to celebrate in 2018!  This will also be grandchild #13 and #14 for my parents!  For those wondering, the order from left to right: #2, #1 (me), #3, #5, #4 & #6.

Christmas Eve Service.

Ready to see if Santa came to visit!

Cool girl with her new iPhone Touch.

Effie’s new puppies!

Vaughn insisted on getting a pic with this jeep telling me it was his most favorite car…ever!

Minted never ceases to amaze me.  Not only do they print cards and art, they also carry other products too.  We loved using this new tree skirt this year!  It’s reversible too!

And I couldn’t be happier at how our Christmas card turned out!

The winner of the Hanging Bar Calendars are…

Katie Parker & Sage L.

Please email me with your email address and I’ll get both of you hooked up with your calendars!  Congrats!

We took our decorations down the day after Christmas.  So early I know.  But we left for Georgia that day and won’t be home until this weekend.  I wanted to come home to a tidy house.

I still have to store our Christmas decor, but that hopefully won’t be too time-consuming.  Thanks for all of your input on better storage ideas for our ornaments!  Next on our to-do list, taking down all of the brown blinds.

Visiting with my sweet little nephew.  Can’t get enough!

Two of my favorite Christmas gifts – this crossbody & this ring.

I hope y’all had a wonderful Christmas holiday!  Can’t believe it has already come and gone.  Pretty excited about the new year!  More importantly, getting on a good exercise regimen and kicking these pounds I’ve put on over the holidays!  More on that on next week’s post!  Oh yeah and I had a few of you ask about my starburst statues.  I’ve had them for over six years and still love them.  Got them here.  Also, be sure and check out my other latest post here.  I’m making up for the days I missed this past week.  I’ll be back to regular posting next week!

TGIF, Y’all!
