The Summer 1986 + An OOTD + Nordstrom Anniversary Sale: Fall/Winter Wardrobe Staples

So a few weeks ago, when Lanier and I went out to dinner with friends, they suggested on heading out to The Commodore for an after dinner drink.  We obliged, but had no idea where the location was and asked our uber to drop us off.  While it’s not set in the best location downtown, once you’re inside it’s awesome.
From the great bar area and people dancing to 80s music on the dance floor, the dim lights and cool decor, I loved it!  But more than that, their cocktails are amazing!  So that’s where this week’s Thirsty Thursday comes in.
Meet the ‘Summer 1986’
Hendrick’s Gin
Creme de Violette
Pineapple
Lemon
I had to refrain myself from drinking this one too fast, it’s that good!
As always, add ingredients to your taste, but when I get a chance to recreate this one at home, I’ll share the exact measurements with you.
Cheers!
What I Wore
Dress (on sale) // Wedges (true to size, on sale)
I’ve loved wearing these Kate Spade studs this summer.  They’ve now been marked down 50%, making them only $24.
Yesterday’s OOTD
Lilly Pulitzer Elsa Top // Shorts // Flip Flops // Studs // Lip (Talk to Me) // Little Lilly Shift (also available here)

There are just four more days left of the Anniversary Sale!  I feel like I’m all stocked up, but every so often I get back on and look around and find more items I’m still keeping an eye one.  Here are just a few that are still in my cart.  They’re all still in stock right now, but not sure how long that’s going to last.  I need to order them soon!
I’ve heard great things about these jeans; highly considering them for the Fall.
I won’t be ordering these, as I already picked up a pair during last year’s anniversary sale, but these are still a favorite!  If you’re looking for a pair of classic, dark skinny jeans, get these.
Honestly, the last thing on my mind are closed-toe shoes right now, but I know there will be a point when it gets cooler, and I think these would look so cute with ankle jeans.  These have over 100 awesome reviews and everyone raves about how comfy they are, another reason I’m highly considering them.  Now it’s just deciding on what color, there are eight!
I really like the blush nappa color too.
I have a few shirts by this great-priced designer and feel like adding one or two of these tees would make great layering pieces for the fall/winter.  They’re only $15.90 during the sale!
On the same wavelength as the v-neck tee, this u-neck tee would be great as a base layer, and such a great price during the sale!  Only $17.90 during the sale, and over fifteen colors to choose from!
In keeping with the lower prices, this top looks just as expensive as others at higher price points, and is marked down even more during the sale.  Definitely snagging at least one, before the prices go back up.  Only $27.90 right now.
I’ve seen a few ways these have been styled, and love them.  The color is a great neutral that would go so much in your fall/winter wardrobe.  Reviews say they fit true to size.
I know I mentioned how much I love these leggings in my work-out sale favorites post here, but they really are the best!  They don’t ride down and are super soft!  The prints are fun, but if you’ve never owned a pair, try the black pair first.
When I think tall boots, I always think of riding boots, not boots with heels.  But I like this pair.  It would be a change for me, since I usually only wear heels when I’m wearing pumps, but these look so pretty I’m considering on giving them a try.  They’re $75 off until Sunday.
This is another heeled boot I’m looking at too, and it’s over the knee.  I’ve never owned an over the knee, but feel like these could be the ones to pull the trigger on.  Everyone raves about them because they fit wider calves.  So many boots are so narrow and the shaft is too tight if you have a wider calf circumference, but these aren’t.  Reviews recommend ordering a half-size up.

Love how they’re styled in this pic above.
Honestly, all of these picks would be classics that you could pair with so much in your closet.
In case you missed yesterday’s Wednesday Whereabouts post, I posted a little later in the morning, head back here.  I shared what we’ve been up to lately.
Happy Thursday!
