Charleston Wine & Food Festival: Opening Night

Good morning, y’all!  So here’s the thing.  I love taking photos, as you probably already know.  Always have, always will.  With the festival being so awesome all weekend long, I decided I couldn’t leave any of my favorite photos out, so instead of selecting just a few for one post, I decided to break them down by day.

So first off, this was opening night.  This was my first year attending the first night.  I’ve always passed it up in years past, knowing that I had a lot of festivities planned later and it was a good break.  Let me tell you this, never again.  This was one of my favorite nights!

If you love a dry prosecco, try this one, Pasqua Vigneti e Cantine SPA.  So refreshing!

My cute little capsule crossbody has a hand-painted monogram.  The best part is the canister is crush-proof so it’s pretty sturdy and durable.

There are 15 of us on the Festival Street Team this year and we always have the best time together!  This was my third year on the street team and each year, I just think the festival gets better and better.  The crew does such a great job of critiquing what worked and what didn’t from year to year and then tweaking it to be better.

Couldn’t turn down a sweet treat from Beardcats Sweet Shop on Sullivan’s Island.  So yummy!

As for these three, the JCB was my fave.  Not too sweet and a little on the dry side.

I tried so many tasty dishes throughout the tent on Opening Night, but this one had to be one of my top faves.  Gnocchi with a hint of crispness to it from The Kennedy in Spartanburg.  Wish I was enjoying some right now!

This lamb dish from The Grocery in Charleston was another top fave.  The flavor was just right!

The Sanctuary at Kiawah offered up lots of sweet treats.  It was hard to choose just one.  Not only was it pretty to look at, it was super tasty too.

I was excited Nico’s oysters made the tent!  Could’ve propped myself right there all night!

What I Wore

In love with this dress I wore on Opening Night.  Great for work or play!  The front has a tie waist with ruffles, so it covers any fluff you’re trying to hide.  And nursing mamas, I had to go back and make sure I didn’t order a maternity dress [I didn’t ;)] because the top part of the dress has snaps.  And how cute are the shoulders?  Paired it with these heels (true to size) and these earrings.

If this party was any indicator of what the festival would be like, I was super excited for the weekend!  Then again, I always am!
