Last month, we headed out for a date night and stopped in at 492 King for Happy Hour. I asked the bartender to think of a fun concoction for us and he told us that USA Today was featuring 492 soon and asked them to create new food and cocktails for the write-up. So these were the two he was working on. No measurements, as he was still toying with the amounts. And no names yet. We tried to help him come up with some fun ones, but I’m sure whatever he comes up will be the better than our suggestions.
Both drinks were delicious! Lanier’s already trying to re-create the bourbon one at home.

My sweet Evelene Virginia is 8 years old today! Cannot believe it! I hope and pray that she continues to have the kindest, most caring heart. And instills her ability to make friends with anyone she meets and her eagerness to help at all times with her little brothers and all of those that are around her. She makes this mama so proud each and everyday!
