Thanks to Leslie at Lemon Sweet Life for giving me my drink idea for this week’s Thirsty Thursday. She just spent a long weekend at the beach with her boyfriend, Jason, and the pictures from their trip were amazing! One picture in particular caught my idea, one of her, with this rather tasty concoction. I knew I had to look up the recipe, and try it out for myself! I found this one at www.drinksmixer.com.
2 oz Stoli vodka Blackberry
1 oz triple sec
2 lemon wedges
1 packet sugar
1 splash sweet and sour mix
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add 2 ounces Stoli blackberry, 1 oz Triple Sec, Juice of two lemon wedges (plus the wedges themselves), 1 packet of sugar and a splash of sour mix. Shake until shaker is frosty. Pour into a sugar rimmed, chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a Lemon twist.

The location yesterday for my Wednesday Whereabouts was Key West, Florida. The third picture was the Hemingway House and the fourth was Ernest Hemingway and one of his many cats. I’ve never actually been, but my husband has, so he helped pick out the hot spots this time. He went on a week long sailing trip while there. Oh, and to clarify, each week, I’m not actually at this location. I just choose fun locations!

I LOVE that navy cardigan. Navy is so in right now and it goes with every color out there. I think it is a great change from black.
Blackberries are my favorite. I can only imagine how tasty this drink is.
