I’d love to say we’re hitting up the pool this week, like we did last week, but the weather has been so wishy-washy. Lots of storms have been rolling through most days.
While that’s put a damper on our time outside, it sure hasn’t stopped my motivation to clean out and get organized. On Monday, it was all about the kids’ toys and their art supplies. We were super excited to find the girls’ Disney hats! Now they can actually wear them on Hat Day this year. I’ve been searching for them FOREVER!
Yesterday, I conquered the drawers around the house and the laundry room. I’ve been putting it off for way too long. But now that it’s all neat and tidy, I’m loving it. The kids are loving their newly cleaned space too. I’m still trying to teach them that once when they get out one thing, they can’t play with the next until they put the other one up first. I feel like I can still hear my mom saying this to me when I was little. I keep wondering when I actually caught on to this concept, so I have an idea of when my kids will master this skill too.

Date Night last week was so much fun! Robert Earl Keen put on an awesome show!
On Friday night, we all headed over to my friend Natalie’s house. Her son Sterling and Effie are the best of friends. As soon as Effie walked in the door, Sterling ran and put on Natalie’s (prescription) glasses, so he could look just like Effie. The sweetest.
We waited out a storm before heading over to the yacht club.

Group hug! The weather turned out to be on the breezier side, since the storm came through right before. It was probably too nice, considering none of wanted to leave and the kids stayed up way past their bedtimes.

Sunday was pretty much a lounge day, as we watched rain and storms roll in and out for most of the day. When there were breaks in the rain, the girls would practice riding their bikes with Lanier. I think it’s safe to say they’ve mastered it!

Lanier and I are headed out for another date night on Thursday. I’m thinking of wearing this blue floral dress I scored at the Nordstrom Sale. I absolutely love the fit of it. While it looks super short on the model, it’s actually not short at all. I’m 5’6″ and it hits just above my knee. Only $85 during the sale, before it goes back up to $129 on August 8th. It’s true to size, I have it in a size 6.
I’m pairing it with these wedges I also ordered from the sale. Fit is true to size. They were exactly what I thought they’d be, based on all the models wearing them in many of the sale pics. And y’all, they’re only $39.90!
I also ordered these calf hair flats that I fell in love with as soon as I opened the box yesterday. The only problem? Everyone else loved them too. They were a tad bit big, so when I went to re-order them in a size 8, they were sadly almost completely sold out. I’m crossing my fingers they’ll re-stock them on Friday!
And y’all, I told you I couldn’t decide on a color! I ended up ordering them all. Love the smaller size, and the price of these mini glitter Kate Spade studs! Only $20.90 during the Anniversary Sale! The rose glitter ones sold out yesterday, but they’re back in stock again today.

Ok, those shoes and the KS earrings are too much, I seriously hope they get more leopard flats when the sale goes up for everyone. My JCrew calf hair leopard flats are completely worn and I've been looking for a good replacement pair.
