Wednesday Whereabouts

Logan started school this past Thursday!  To say he was excited is an understatement!  I’m so extremely happy that he’s having the best time so far!
Many of you ask where I get my boys’ smocked outfits.  One of my favorites is Zulily.  That site can be extremely overwhelming, but I just type in ‘smock’ in the search bar and everything smocked comes up.  Just a heads up, shipping is extremely slow, but definitely worth it for the discounted price.  But keep that in mind if you’re ordering something seasonal, like I’ve already ordered a few smocked pieces for Halloween and Thanksgiving for the kids.
After dropping off Logan, Vaughn and I were all set to run the bridge, but it rained, so we ended up meeting some friends.  He tried to feed them bread, but they kept running away from him.  The funniest thing.  It’s usually the other way around!

Just a few favorites I’m loving lately.  My Millers sold out last week, during Tory Burch’s Sale, but this pretty tassel necklace is still available and so is my Gigi Clutch in Harbor Blue.
My baby started school for the first time this past Friday!  Super bittersweet, but I’m happy to report he’s loving it.  He looks forward to the puzzles, books and trucks everyday!
And I look forward to picking him up!

So the first day with both boys in school, I hit up King Street and obviously needed some retail therapy.  I haven’t shopped in a store in a long time, but by myself?  Probably even longer.  My Tory Burch Perry Tote is a new favorite!  Love the color and the style.
 My boys.
Like I mentioned before, my sister-in-law and her family came in town until Saturday.  I did the worst job at capturing pics, but I guess that means we were really enjoying ourselves.  The kids had the best time playing together.  Wish they lived closer!

On Friday night, the Panthers played a pre-season game against the Pats.  It’s so hard to think football, and the weather is still this hot.  If you’re a Panthers fan, these sandals are the perfect Panther blue!  Paired it with this simple grey tee, these cutoffs, this necklace, this wrap bracelet and this link bracelet.  I’ve had a few of you ask about my nail color, it’s Essie Fiji

The girls enjoying a nice, leisurely stroll up to the Farmer’s Market on Saturday morning.

My friend celebrated her birthday on Saturday night.  She lives in town, but her husband gave her a night at The Spectator Hotel for her birthday.  This place is amazing!  Everything they have, including all the decor is local.  See Monday’s post for my outfit details.

We also visited the new Grand Bohemian Hotel while we were out.  Lots of beautiful art, but I must say that The Spectator is still my favorite!

Sorry for the random shot.  I was trying to see what my friend’s sunglasses looked like on me.  But it also shows you the decor in the room at The Spectator.  Isn’t it beautiful?  All created by Charleston designers.

After hitting up Anthro yesterday, while I love the fun white ones

…I ended up going with the tortoise ones instead.
A view from The Battery after the rain on Monday.
Topsy Tails!  Effie wanted me to snap a pic, so she could see it.  ðŸ˜‰

Nordstrom Rack opened here last night!  If you’re a local reader, you must check it out!  The grand opening is tomorrow morning!  They’re planning on restocking most everything, and the prices are so good!  Like all of these Ray-Bans are marked down to $79.95 and most are polarized too!  Unfortunately, Nordstrom Rack doesn’t carry Ray-Bans online, but there are over 100 aviator style sunglasses available from DVF, Tod’s, Carrera, etc.  Check out the selection here.

I was obviously impressed with the selection.  One thing I will say is items sell out quickly because the prices are too good.  For instance, if you want my striped tee I’m holding, order it soon.  Super soft and comfy.  Was $72, Now only $29.97.  And my grey satchel has sold out, but this grey one is just as pretty and is now 50% off.
 My Beautiful Shopping Buddies!
And drinks afterward to celebrate the grand opening!  Look for this cocktail to be featured on tomorrow’s post.  Yum!

What I Wore
Mara Hoffman Dress (I can’t even count how many times I’ve worn this dress this summer! And still in love with it!) // Madewell Pumps (order a size down, they run big) // Gigi New York Crossbody // Julie Vos Bangles // Julie Vos Ring (Because I seriously haven’t taken it off since I got it and wear it everyday.)

Another look from earlier this week…

Alright, I better run and get the house in order.  My inlaws are coming in town for the weekend.  We’re also heading out to dinner tonight to celebrate my father-in-law’s birthday.  We sure stay busy around here!
Happy Wednesday, Y’all!

I love the other blouse you are holding in the Nordstrom Rack picture, the one with the more geometric pattern. I have seen it on people walking around here in D.C. and I would love to know the designer.

    1. I replied to you, but accidentally commented on my own post instead of responding to just you. Lol. It's Joie! I ended up getting that one too, but unfortunately it's sold out online. I think it was marked down to $60!
