Pineapple Party Welcome

It’s no secret that I love a pineapple, whether it be a tasty cocktail, on a napkin, or in my closet.  Pineapples are certainly a trend to wear this season, and I’m loving it!  Did you know the pineapple symbolizes hospitality?  In early America, when we traded with the Caribbean islands (where pineapples were abundant) it took a long time for us to get back home with our trade (part of it being the pineapples).  So if you had one in your home, it was considered a notable achievement for you to obtain a ripe pineapple for guests.  Then colonists used pineapples to decorate bed posts, tablecloths, napkins—anything associated with welcoming guests.  And I feel like we still used the pineapple to symbolize the same thing even today.  I love that it symbolizes friendliness and warmth.  What other fruit can you say has those qualities?  Not even just a fruit, but it’s good for people to have those qualities too.  Anything to show kindness and love, to be welcome to others.
And you know I couldn’t wait to share my favorite pineapple picks!
