Tuesday Trends: My New Spring Handbag

So I know it’s a little early to be shopping for spring, but I feel like I do this every February.  I get so down and out about the cold weather that all I want to do is shop for cover-ups, sometimes swimsuits, shorts, colorful totes and jewelry with one thing in mind…the warmth of that sun!  Many shops, designers and boutiques are already carrying it anyway and most have promotional offers since it’s so early in the season, so it kind of makes sense to have it now, than wait, right?  I really do love stocking up on pretty little bright-colored pieces so that once we start getting the better weather, I’m ready to play, instead of just getting started on what I want to wear.

How pretty is this Avery Bag?  It’s a perfectly-sized cross body by Rebecca Minkoff.  I’ve always enjoyed all the different colors Rebecca Minkoff carries in her handbags, but when she came out with this peacock color, I knew this was the one I wanted to order.

The perfect pop of color that will not only carry you into spring, but on into summer, as well.  I could definitely see this little handbag looking fabulous with a nice tan.

The inside print is pretty great too, and has a lot of space for this size bag.

And how could I not pair it with hot pink?  Because I got so much use out of the Kendra Scott Rayne Necklace, I thought this Kendra Scott Harlow Necklace would add even more color and make a bigger statement.  I actually love it so much I’m already considering what color to choose next!

The photos here do not do this Joie Tambrel Sweater justice.  First of all, I’m 5’6″ and the back of the sweater covers my rear.  Second, I’m a 4/6 and this is a small, and it’s not too fitted which I like.  Plus, the color is more like a metallic silver but not too shiny.  I realize it looks grey here, but if you order it, you’ll see what I mean.  And lastly, it’s on SALE and currently available in all sizes!

I have had these Tory Burch Caroline Flats in Camelia Pink Beige for over two years and still never tire of wearing them.  The color is more nude than pink which I like, and they’re so comfortable.  For fit, they’re true to size.  They’re patent leather, so they’re a little shiny but not stiff at all, plus you can usually wipe them clean.

Rebecca Minkoff Avery Crossbody // Kendra Scott Harlow Necklace in Magenta // Paige Verdugo Jeans // Joie Tambrel Sweater (on sale) // Marc by Marc Jacobs Heart Studs // Kendra Scott Haylee Ring // Tory Burch Caroline Flats in Camelia Pink Beige // Smashbox Matte Electric Pink (I cannot say enough amazing things about this lip color.  It’s matte so it’s not too shiny, you can dab it on for a subtle color or add more for a big pop of color, and it stays on forever longer than any of my other lipsticks.)

I had such a hard time deciding which spring bag I wanted this year.  There were so many others that I liked too, but this seemed the most multi-functional for day, all while being fun to wear out on a date or with friends.  Here are some other pretty handbags that I’m loving for spring too…

My entire ensemble can be ordered all in one place, from Nordstrom!  From their wonderful customer service, to their free shipping and free returns, there’s no reason not to shop there.  Plus, they price match so if you find something you like less expensive somewhere else, call them and they’ll match the price!

Don’t forget that Nordstrom’s Clearance Sale is still going on!

If you’re on the east coast, please stay safe and warm.

Happy Tuesday!

**A big thank you to Nordstrom for sponsoring this post.  As always, all outfit choices and opinions are my own.**
