Fashion Friday: Packing for the Holiday Weekend + New Books + New Anthro Faves!

How funny is it that Danielle Steel has a kid’s book out?  Pretty Minnie in Paris is a really cute read.  Picked up Jumanji because my children have never read it, and I loved the book and movie growing up.  This one is great because it contains a cd with Robin Williams reading the story.  My children love listening to stories on cds in the car.  I know it’s odd because they can’t all see the pics, but they take turns getting to hold the book for the story, and the rest just listen.  I never knew this until now, but Chris Van Allsburg wrote both Jumanji and The Polar Express.  I have the highest hopes for reading Wild this weekend.  It’s received rave reviews, and seems like a quick read, compared to my usual reads…Jane Eyre, Dragon Tattoo Series, Hunger Games, etc.
We’re headed out of town for the weekend, visiting family and enjoying an annual oyster roast, skeet shooting, socializing, etc. and the weather is supposed to be in the mid-60s on Saturday there.  Cannot wait!  Here are some items I’ll be packing for the trip….

Reva Flats (very similar here) // Leggings // Phone Case (selling out quickly, now only available here)
Yesterday, I scored this pretty Banet Dress at Anthropologie.  I’m 5’6″ and I love where it hits my legs.  The top is smocked so it has a little stretch to it.  The bottom is loose but not too flowy, and it has pockets!  Would look really cute with booties and heels too.  The fabric is great, not too thick and not too thin.  I obviously cannot say enough fabulous things about this dress.  I’m a 6 and got it in a small.  Lots of great online reviews too.  It also comes in a pretty blue color.
Leggings // Flats (similar here) // Top (on sale for $29.99) // Tote // Ring
And y’all know I’m all about a great comfortable layer to throw on.  This Anthro Blazer Cardigan is awesome.  Super comfy and thick enough to keep you warm.  Go up a size if you want a looser fit.
Here’s how I’m wearing it today, for our road trip…
Anthropologie is now offering an EXTRA 40% Off Sale Items.
Enter code: EXTRAEXTRA at check-out!
Just love this Highlands Coat so much.  It was $198, marked down to $98, and now it’s an additional 40% off!  It’s just so unique, I know it’d receive a ton of compliments.  From the reviews, it sounds like it runs big so if you’re between sizes, I’d go down a size.
Talk about a Blanket Cardigan that does everything right, I can’t even decide which color I like better.  Now 40% off of $80 with code: EXTRAEXTRA.
Yesterday’s OOTD
Had to show my Tarheel Pride after their big win on Wednesday night!
Revas (similar here) // Leggings // Wrap Cardigan (I’m a 4/6 and wear a small) // Barbour Beadnell Jacket
Patagonia Jacket // Lilly Pulitzer Dress (sold out, but find more Little Lilly on sale here) // Ugg Boots
We had a fun night out last night.  The girls were just a little excited that the ‘W’ and ‘E’ were side-by-side in this play area.
I hope y’all have a wonderful weekend!  Prayers for safe travels if any of you are heading out of town for the long weekend!
TGIF!
