Father’s Day Re-Cap & National Wear Your Lilly Day: What We Wore

I hope y’all had a wonderful weekend celebrating all the dads in your life!  I spent two weekends ago with my dad, so this weekend was all about Lanier.  We spent most of it at the pool and on our friend’s boat.  Just as he requested.  And the weather couldn’t have been better!  A little hot, but we were lucky enough to get some relief from the water and beach breeze.  For those wondering, a few things I got him for his birthday were this tie that I shared last week and this contraption called a Barbarian.  And the children all made special cards for him.  Planning on sharing more pics with you on this week’s Wednesday Whereabouts.

I feel like it’s been summer here for the past month with this weather, but yesterday was the official first day of summer!  Which means it was also National Wear Your Lilly Day!  The girls and I couldn’t wait to wear ours and show our Lilly pride!  And I’m absolutely in LOVE with this Daphne Trapeze Dress!!  It’s a great swingy dress with soft fabric and adjustable straps.  When I tried it on, at first my bra was showing in the back, but with a simple strap adjustment that problem was easily fixed.  I paired it with with these earrings, this cuff, this necklace, these sunglasses and these sandals.  For fit, since it’s pretty swingy on the bottom, it’s more about the fit up top.  In my opinion I think it runs a little big, but I’d recommend ordering your regular size and you’ll be fine.  Effie is wearing this Little Lilly Shift (I have the same print in this Elsa) and Wheeler is wearing a similar older version that I got for both of them last summer.

Since we’re talking Lilly, I scored this super cute Trini Tankini Suit for the girls on sale on Saturday, while out shopping for some new shoes for the boys.  It fits Effie perfectly!
Today, we head to the beach for two weeks.  And this morning I’m getting ready to start packing.  Yes, I said start.  This weekend seriously flew by and I didn’t want to miss out on anything fun, so I procrastinated on packing for our trip.  Hopefully it won’t take long as I’ve got all the laundry finished, but I need to get on it, especially since the children are all still asleep!
I hope y’all have a great start to your week!

  1. Would LOVE to hear your packing tips! I can pack for my son, but I struggle with bringing too much or too little for me! Headed to Charleston July 6th for a week!

  2. I own one Lilly dress ! But after following your blog for awhile now I think this summer I made add another piece or two to my wardrobe !!! You have the prettiest of things 🙂
