OOTD: Comfort is Key!

Comfort is Key
I know I’m always repeating this phrase with most of my outfits, but it’s always true.  If it’s not comfortable, I’m not going to wear it.  I don’t care how cute it looks.  If the dress or top is too tight-fitting or the heel is too incredibly high, it’s probably not going to make it out of my closet.  I’ve done it so many times before where I’ll still buy it and say I’ll wear it sometime.  And then right before I’m set to throw it on, I end grabbing the more comfortable option.  Do y’all do this too?

Well, today’s outfit is one I probably wear more often than anything else in my closet; leggings, sports bra, tee and flip-flops.  Whether I’m out walking Boozer or dropping off Wheeler at school in the morning, it’s my go-to uniform before I actually put on other clothes for the day.  And some days, these stay on all day long.  And in the winter, leggings with a pair of Uggs should be considered my uniform I wear both of them so much.

Have y’all heard of Zella?  I hadn’t until one of my friends told me about how much she loved their Live-In Leggings and that I needed to try them out.  It’s a work-out line exclusive to Nordstrom.  As soon as I checked them out online, I was already interested, as their price points are lower than other work-out gear I usually wear.  But sometimes when it’s priced lower the quality isn’t as great, so at first I was apprehensive.  I’ve definitely tried less expensive work-out gear and it either stretched out, was see-through, or just didn’t fit quite right.
I’m happy to say I’m obsessed with the Live-In Leggings now and have even ventured into other products from the Zella line, as well.  You’ll see below that I’m wearing the light blue Studio Tee.  I love the loose fit.  The fabric is also the perfect weight for summer, and there are a few other colors to choose from.  I’ve always been against the little headbands to hold back your hair, but I tried this Zella one and ended up loving it.  It’s hard to describe but it has these tiny grippers that help keep it in place without pulling your hair.
Fit Guide
Leggingstrue to size
Teetrue to size depending on how loose you want it to fit
Sports Braruns small, go up a size

Love the slit on the side for added mobility and a better fit.

And when I say I take Boozer for a walk, you can see he actually walks me!
I’m actually thinking of ordering this hoodie too, as I love a good sweatshirt/jacket to throw on.  Yes, even in the heat.  When there’s AC, I love having something to wear on my arms.  This one seems like it would fit well, and it’s long enough to cover my rear.  Very important.  And it’s currently marked down to $40.
If you haven’t tried Zella yet, you should.  Even if you want to try just one product from their line, try the Live-In Leggings.  Trust me, you’ll be hooked.  Just scroll to the bottom here and read the reviews at Nordstrom.  And remember, Nordstrom always offers free shipping and free and easy returns.  Zella also chooses a pro each season to pick their favorites from the line, and this time they chose Missy DeWalt, a PureBarre instructor.  Check out her top picks and what she loves most about her favorite pieces this season here.

Happy Tuesday, Y’all!
Thanks to Nordstrom for their partnership on this post.  As always, all opinions and outfit choices are my own.

  1. I admit that I'm a Lulu addict (only on sale), but I do own a couple of Zella pieces that have held up really well. I'm loving that Studio Tee with the fun leggings, looks great!
