Weekend Inspiration: Mark 1:35

After last week’s Weekend Inspiration, I thought more about devoting more time to the Lord.  During the school year, I have a Bible Study that meets every Wednesday, but during the summer months, we do not meet.  This makes it a little more difficult for me to devote time daily to the Lord.  And personally, this is sad.  I am such a creature of habit and routine, that it’s hard for me to make time for Him, without having something particular to do, while in prayer.  That is no excuse.  When I return home on Sunday, I will make it a point to devote more time to the Lord each day, probably in the morning, before the girls wake up.  Hopefully, you’ll think more of how you can devote more time to him, as well.  After all, He is why we exist, and live such a blessed life.

Jesus even showed us how we should pray.  He was the perfect example.  “And in the morning rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.”  Mark 1:35

Good luck on your journey with Him.

  1. Great post!! I definately need to heed your advice and make more time in my day to devote to God also. I'm like you..needing my routine! Hope you have a great weekend!

  2. Thank you for this. I also struggle with having the discipline to devote more time to just being still with God. Maybe you should start a group online!
