Weekend Inspiration: Doxology

Praise God, from Whom all blessings flow;
Praise Him, all creatures here below;
Praise Him above, ye Heavenly Host;
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen.
I know many of us sing this in church EVERY Sunday,
but how many of us actually mean it?
Do we praise Him as much as we should?

  1. This is part of our weekly church service too! But you are so right, we don't praise and thank Him nearly often enough (or at least I don't)!

  2. A wonderful reminder … we always (or most) remember to turn to him when we need something ~ or to be angry with him when we don't get something (usually for something we WANT not NEED) … yet it is so easy to overlook giving Him praise and Thanks when things are going smoothly or the bumps in the road of life are easily over-come… XO HHL

  3. Love your picture and the doxology is a favorite of mine…I hum it all the time. Do I really LISTEN though….thanks for the lesson!!

  4. Great point! Sometimes I sing the doxology when something great happens, although I feel a little silly when I sing it about finding a lost $50 or something. But it says "from whom ALL blessings flow," right? So I guess I'm okay singing it about anything!
