Weekend Getaway

We had the best time catching up, playing cards, listening to good music and shooting skeet.

The best part?  We were off the grid.  No cell or internet service.  I know all of us can vouch that not having access to our phones is something we’d have a hard time doing, but it was nice to be unplugged for a little while.  It wasn’t even just about not being connected to social media, email, etc., it was not having quick answers to questions that came up in conversations.  We couldn’t find out the answer because we didn’t have Google to help us out.

So in all of my hurriedness to pack, I forgot some clothes, but it didn’t seem to be too big of a deal.  If it was cooler, I may have been in trouble, but the weather was perfect!

As always our friend Flora was the best host.  It’s hard to believe we’ve been coming up here for over 13 years now.

While we had a wonderful time, I was definitely glad to get back to these four!

We’re celebrating Wheeler’s birthday party today.  Very thankful the weather cleared up for it.

UPDATE:  Wheeler’s 6th Birthday Party today was a success!  I’ll post more pics later this week, but wanted to include this one today, because my caftan I’ve been raving about it, is now on sale ($51). I’m still thinking about going back for the pink one.
