Wednesday Whereabouts

As I mentioned last week, my parents were in town on vacation.  We all met them at their place, and headed out to eat after. // Lilly Pulitzer Sarasota Tunic

 Had the best time here!
On Thursday, we headed over to a friend’s house and enjoyed a long walk and dinner.  Wheeler and her son have known each other since they were about a month old.
Since Lanier was out of town for the weekend, and my friend’s husband was too, she came in town to visit.  We had the best time, and the weather was great!
Her children really wanted to visit the USS Yorktown, so we made another trip there.  But my kiddos love this ship, so they were excited to go back again.
Effie was happy to have her best friend visit her!
My parents met up with us on the battleship.
Tory Burch Caroline Flats // My gray has sold out, but if you love this style, the nude color is so pretty too, and they go with everything.
Her daughter was precious.  She even let me braid her hair, so she could match the girls. // Wheeler’s wearing an old Lilly Pulitzer dress (similar here) and Effie’s is Mini Boden (available here and here).
My gray stripe soft blazer is old from Anthropologie, but here’s one I love too!
My sisters and I grew up playing Hi Ho! Cherry-O.  It’s so fun that the girls are old enough to play all of our board games.  Other old school favorites include: Sorry, Chutes & Ladders, Guess Who, Operation, Twister, Trouble, Mouse Trap, Hungry Hungry Hippos, Battleship, Yahtzee, Boggle, Connect 4 and Checkers.
Still enjoying fun outings with these three.
If you’re ever in the area, try 5 Loaves.  This Chicken Caesar Salad was so good!
Wheeler wrote this for class last week.  Melts my heart.  She said they’re both wearing mittens.
On Monday night, we watched The Bachelor Finale.  What did y’all think? // Wildfox Pineapple Sweatshirt (This is the one I blogged about on Saturday. Super soft. Runs true to size.)
Effie was one happy girl driving this thing around.
Logan was just a little freaked out to ride on a golf cart of all things.  Thankfully he got over it pretty quickly, so we could make it out to feed the ducks.
After about 10am yesterday, this cardigan was definitely not needed.  It was so hot!  But we loved every minute of it! // Striped Cardigan (on sale) // Watch // Sandals // Shorts // Tee // Necklace // Polish is E-Nuf is E-Nuf
Yesterday, we headed to a friend’s house and enjoyed their awesome backyard and pizza!  The kids were all watching an alligator basking in the sun, across the pond.
Happy Wednesday!

  1. The link to the White Coral Bottle Stoppers isn't working.. can you let me know where you got those.. they would make such a cute engagement gift. Thanks!:)

  2. Cute post on your whereabouts and super cute family! I really applaud you for putting yourself out there, and I love that you are a UNC girl! I have one quick question though, a friend of mine said she went to school with you at NC State?!? Is that true? My husband is a Wolfpack, and I went to UNC. If I am being honest, I cheer for the Pack more often than not! It is how our family rolls! I totally get that you root for the Heels, and I think you mentioned something about State one time, but I was just wondering why you don't mention your time there more often? It is a great place!!! Even though I am a UNC grad, I do love to root for all of the ACC!

    1. Tis true! Tis true! Yes, I went to NC State for two years before transferring to UNC. I've always been a Heels fan, but unfortunately was wait listed, then didn't get it in at first. State was the closest to it, and I had a lot of friends that were going to attend there. I did have a blast at State, it was an awesome school, but I knew secretly that I was always going to cheer for my Heels. There was a reason the Lord planned that out the way He did, and I'm so thankful it worked out that way. While three of my sisters went to UNC too, one of my sisters went to State and is a diehard NC State fan and very proud Wolfpacker…as her husband is too. Enough that they named their daughter something that showed how proud they were. And I do love the ACC too…except Duke…

  3. What a fun week y'all have had! I would love some pics of your new house. Love your style and the little tidbits we get from around your house! Wherever those lake pictures are, it's gorgeous! It reminds me of I'On. Looks like everyone is enjoying Charleston! Maybe it's time to spring for the Lilly South Carolina murfee?!?
