Wednesday Whereabouts: We Visited Santa…Already! + an OOTD + Baubles + Gifts

Yesterday, we went and visited Santa.  I’ve always tried to knock this out early in the season each year.  It’s not crazy busy and the kids have more time to sit and talk with Santa, without feeling rushed.  Logan and Vaughn are not big fans of Santa (you’ll see what I mean when you see the photos), so I enlisted the help of my parents and some sisters.  I have no problem with an outing with my four by myself, but when I knew what Logan and Vaughn were bound to do, it was much much easier to have some extra sets of hands on deck.  The girls knew we were going to see Santa today, but the boys had no clue, and the girls knew to keep it a secret because they knew how upset the boys would get if they found out early.  That’s the other reason I do it before the season gets busier and there’s a line.  With a line means more patience and waiting, and letting Logan and Vaughn have more time to realize what we’re doing waiting in the line.  More of a chance to bolt!  Yesterday’s visit…

My dad had just gotten off call, so he was able to join us too!

 Spying someone…

Two of my sisters helping with distracting the boys as we waited.

The boys still had no idea.  Distractions, distractions…

Telling Santa they want Anna and Elsa costumes!

My parents, getting ready to throw the unsuspecting boys on Santa’s lap!

And I bring you the FOREVER CLASSIC end result…
I love Santa’s face in this one so much more than the one the photographer captured!  Hilarious!
Logan did end up talking to (and hugging) Santa afterward!
2011 (Effie was too afraid to meet Santa this year)

Aside from Logan’s first year meeting Santa, he doesn’t exactly have the greatest track record for happy Santa experiences after that…

2012 – Why did you give us to this big red stranger!

Poor Logan and Vaughn!

A big thank you to all of you who entered my Lilly Pulitzer giveaway!  To choose the winner, I entered every single entry on random.org, and chose the winner.  On the blog, I chose the winner on Rafflecopter.

I then wrote both names down and let Wheeler choose a hand.
Congratulations to…

I have this one with gray stones that I’m wearing today, and absolutely love it!  But I love the opal one for the holidays!  One thing’s for sure, if the Galaxy Bib necklace is any indicator as to how quickly these festive necklaces will sell out, I’d get this one soon!

Baublebar always offers free shipping and free returns.  And if this is your first order, enter your email address, and receive 15% off.  Be sure and check out what was Just Added.  Lots of cute desk accessories and storage.

  1. I've been reading your blog for a while, but have never commented before. Your kids Santa punctures are HILARIOUS! Poor things, but they will look back at it one day and laugh about it. Your girls did awesome…maybe because they aren't the ones sitting on Santa's lap 😉

  2. Your kids are absolutely precious! Such funny pictures – those will make for great memories for years to come.

  3. Those pictures are great! I have a friend who used to use her son's picture with Santa as her Christmas card every year, and I always looked forward to the "William vs Santa" photo. One year, there was a photo on the back with him lying on the tile in the middle of the mall after the photo.

  4. Love those pictures! CLASSIC! And the girls will LOVE the 6-in-1. My 5 and 3-year-old love it. The nice thing is they don't have to know how to read to be able to play. We did pick up some card holders, so it makes it easy to hold playing cards. Nice stocking stuffer if you don't already have some. I actually found mine in the $1 bin at Target and they were Frozen themed…Will Frozen ever get old????
