Wednesday Whereabouts: V’s Baptism and Easter

On March 10th, little V was baptized.
While the actual baptism was the most special part, I enjoyed having all of my sweet little babies sitting with me, during the service.  And for an hour, they were quiet, calm and well-behaved.  I know each of their births were the utmost blessings from God, but that day, in that moment, the silence of their gentle beings, was my little gift from God.  Peace in that church pew.
Our friend Marcella from Germany (on the left) happened to be in town to stay with our family that weekend, so she was able to witness the special event.  My sister (#5 of the 6) is on the right.

Happy Sisters
(E’s little chin was bandaged, from having had stitches the week before)
I think the kiddos were spent by this point.  Can you tell?
Some of my family was in attendance, which made it even more special.

Our friends, the U’s daughter was baptized at the same service as V.
Their son V and E have been in the same preschool class for the last two years.
My dad and L.
V and his friend J had a playdate during the week.
The day before Easter we attended a fun Easter Egg Hunt and a lunch.  It was so great to catch up with all of friends.  The kids had a blast too!
Thanks for the great pic, K!
That evening we headed over to my parents’ house to celebrate my sister (#5 of the 6)’s birthday.
It was a truly beautiful weekend.
Both weekends were such perfect reminders of how we are all God’s children, and how we should be thankful for the simple things in life, like good weather and cherishing loving family and friends!
Happy Wednesday, Y’all!

  3. I'm definitely far back on the blog archives, but I can't help reading old posts over again! Quick question–was sweet Vaughn baptized at an Episcopal church/do y'all attend an Episcopal church? Just curious! XOXO
