This holiday season has been so much fun so far! Lots of fun festivities, and it hasn’t felt rushed. So excited that we still have another week of celebrating before Christmas! Logan does NOT take this Santa hat off. I found it in a box of Christmas decorations from last year, and he seriously wants to wear it all day everyday, even to bed. Did I mention it’s way too small, but he still manages to squeeze it on. Cracks me up.
Lanier and I went on a last-minute date this past Friday night. We had the best time! Finally got to watch Mockingjay. We’ve both read all the Hunger Games books, so it was cool to see the third movie in the theater. I really liked it and thought it was so much like the book! Can’t wait to see Part 2!

On Saturday, we relaxed at home. The girls and I then got prepped to go see The Nutcracker Ballet with my mother-in-law and my friend and her daughter.
How sweet are their curls? I shared this on Instagram on Saturday, but after I curled their hair they asked if they could wear lipstick. It’s so pretty, but boy do they look old! Still getting used to Wheeler’s gap.
I’m not sure if they were more excited to hang with their buddy, than to see the actual ballet.
But they loved it! When we were planning this, I’d totally forgotten that Wheeler was going to see it with her class on a field trip. So she’d seen it the day before too!

I finally got to get my hands on my sweet friend’s little girl. I seriously could’ve taken her home with me that. One more to the crew wouldn’t be that big of a difference. How great is her head of hair??
While I was looking back through pictures the other day, I came across this one of Wheeler in the snow, circa January 2011. She was 2 1/2. Time really does fly! Pictures like this always remind me to slow down and cherish all of the little moments, especially this time of year…
