Wednesday Whereabouts: Thanksgiving Break and Tory Burch

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving break, and celebrated the holiday with the in-laws.  We transferred our “Green Egg” to their house, and smoked the turkey on it, while the kiddos played for most of the afternoon.  The weather was beautiful, in the mid-60s, and we had a great time watching the parade, socializing and eating delicious food to our hearts’ content, prepared by my mother-in-law. She truly is an amazing cook, and I still cannot believe she made it all!

Here’s this past week in photos, via Instagram.  Follow me on Instagram at sweetsouthernprep!

We started Thanksgiving morning off at the in-laws, with mimosas and breakfast casserole!
We then relaxed, while the turkey cooked.
Little L LOVES his Poppy (my father-in-law).  Even while he napped away, L sat with him, just as content as he could be.
…still literally attached to his Poppy.
W stated that the Santa at the end of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade was different than the one she visited last week, because this one didn’t have glasses.
On Saturday, we decked the halls at our house, and had the best time!  I swear Christmas gets even better, and more exciting, when you have kids!
We visited my mother (Gigi) yesterday morning, and E was mesmerized by the spin cycle on the washing machine.  She normally doesn’t see ours, as it’s downstairs in our basement.  Cheap thrills!
Her dress is Polo (similar here), and her socks are crewcuts.  I absolutely love their knee-highs!
E had her 3-year check-up yesterday, and V had his one-month check-up…and boy, did she ever chat up Dr. S.  One comment she made to him, “Did you know that I am a doctor, too?” Cracks me up! (Dr. S was my doctor when I was little, too.)

What do y’all think of my latest lovelies?  I’ve always been a big fan of turquoise, and when Tory Burch came out with a pair of Revas in the color, I jumped at the chance to own a pair!
Happy Wednesday, Y’all!
