Wednesday Whereabouts: Our Wild Dunes Staycation

When Wild Dunes invited Lanier and I out for a mini staycation, how could we say no?  We started it off with cocktails at Huey’s near the golf course. // I’m clearly loving all things stars lately.  This top had me at silk and ruffles, and it’s currently 40% off with code: YAYCLOTHES. // Jeans // Bag // Necklace (worn as a bracelet) // Ring // Sunnies

The most delicious Salty Dogs!

It was so nice to have the place to ourselves for a quiet happy hour.

Little did we know that this appetizer of fried green tomatoes would only be the beginning to the food we’d be enjoying that evening.

After happy hour, we checked into our room.  Such a beautiful view!

If you know how much I love my Nest candles, I was more than pleased that they carried Nest products. // Shop my cosmetics case here.

After dinner, we headed off to dinner at Coastal Provisions.

Our seats were inside one of the private bungalows.

On this particular evening, the weather was beautiful and the pool scene was so quiet and serene.

To start off, we enjoyed biscuits and toppings from local vendors.

She-Crab Soup is one of my favorite dishes, so I’m always interested to try it out at most restaurants to compare.  This one did not disappoint!  So tasty and the perfect consistency.

We didn’t think we’d be able to consume everything that was served (so much food!), but we did.  It was just too good to pass up!  Everything was fixed just right and this tuna poké was delicious.  Lanier’s going to try and re-create this one at home soon.

Lanier has always loved ceviche, so they brought it out for us to try too.  So refreshing and perfect to cleanse our palate before our entrees.

Lanier ordered the special and yes, his steak was huge!  He ended up taking home the other half and happily enjoyed it the next day for lunch.

And my filet mignon with a side of fries was amazing!  We definitely were splurging on this trip, that’s for sure!  But why not, when you’re on vacation.

To end the evening, they brought us out this delicious cheesecake, but we were so full that we ended up taking it back to the room.  Cannot say it enough though, the chef at Coastal Provisions outdid himself.  We loved every single thing we consumed!

Not only do I love the food, but the decor is always spot on here too.  I want these light fixtures in my own home!

I’m just so glad to have had some one-on-one time with Lanier.  With how busy we are, sometimes it’s hard to make time for us.  But we had the best time while we were there and hope to do it again soon!  Thanks so much to Wild Dunes for treating us so well during our stay! // Wore this dress to dinner.  Lanier wore this shirt.

For more pics of other activities we enjoyed while we were there, head back to this post.

Through October 31st, guests who book a minimum of a two-night stay at Wild Dunes using the special code: SWEET will receive $100 off.  My parents are actually taking advantage in just a few short weeks!  They love vacationing at Wild Dunes as much as we do!

I hope y’all are having a great week so far!
