Wednesday Whereabouts: Labor Day Weekend + Back to School

Last Thursday, my girlfriend and I headed over to The Summit Room. I’ve been wanting to try it out for awhile. If you’re local, definitely check it out! A great wine and drink list. The entire menu looked so good that we couldn’t decide on just one thing, so we ended up getting a couple of small plates and sampling different courses. Really cool atmosphere too. Make sure you make a reservation, and they’ll text you about two hours before to confirm.

Sweet Vaughn loves his Boozer. Any dog-lovers? Don’t you wish their life expectancy was as long as ours?

I know it’s still in the 90’s here, but even in the summer I love a good pair of slippers to wear around my house. I wore my last pair of Ugg Scuffettes for over three years. And they were still in great shape until Effie accidentally spilt some milk in them, and I had to throw them out. So these are my new pair! They don’t carry half sizes, so I’d go up a size if you’re in between. My pj pants are from Old Navy from a few years back, but if I had to suggest a similar fit and style, I would get another pair from Plum Pretty Sugar. I already own these, but I could very easily get another pair, maybe in this print this time?

Since I’m planning on running with Vaughn when Logan and Effie start back school, I pulled our Single BOB out of the attic. This one seems so light compared to the Double BOB I’m so used to using. Effie and I went for a five-mile run on Saturday, and everything went smoothly.

College Football started on Saturday. To prep for my day of cheering and prepping for friends coming over for dinner, I got ready while enjoying a nice Bloody Mary. It’s our Saturday brunch tradition during football season – and my reward after my run!

I ordered this notepad from Design Darling when she had her birthday weekend sale a last week. I was so surprised at how quickly it arrived, considering it had to be personalized. Pretty Smitten carries the line at Design Darling. There’s so much I love! I think this little pink frame would be so cute in the girls’ room.

So happy that he’s staying home with me this year. Lots of time to play!

After getting this Tory Burch Ring Set on Saturday, I’ve worn them almost everyday. Such a fun little stack.

I hope everyone has been happy with their Lilly Sale orders. Most of my pieces I’ll be storing away until next summer, but I was able to wear some of them now…

We didn’t end up winning against the Gwinnett Braves, but we still had a fun time!

Effie and Logan start school today. I had assumed the whole time that Logan wasn’t going to want to go. Well, after yesterday’s Open House I was definitely wrong.
