Wednesday Whereabouts

What a week!  Logan’s teacher hosts a beach camp out at Sullivan’s during the summer break, and the boys absolutely loved it last week!  Since Wheeler and Effie have school, they weren’t able to join this session and boy was Effie jealous!  She’ll have her turn to attend later this summer, and she’s pretty excited.  Their little swim trunks are by The Beaufort Bonnet Company. // Shoes

The girls had their Fun Friday last week and as always they had the best time! // Sunnies

Wheeler and her photo booth skills.  Love her sweet little confidence.

I’ve never thought Wheeler and I like looked that much alike, but I can see some similarities here. // Wearing my new Lulu tank I raved about last week.

Wore this dress with these wedges on Friday night.  Both are now on sale! // Necklace // Ring

The kids and I lounged around on Saturday morning and watched old home videos.  How cute is this pic?  They were all watching one of the videos that was sideways.

Love my sweet Logan Bear.  He’s wearing these lobster swim trunks.  I’m obsessed with these new rose gold sunnies!  The swimsuit I was wore is reversible and now on sale!

Dress (such a great lightweight, toss-on dress to beat the summer heat, and it has pockets too!) // Wedges (on sale)

My sister and her family vacationed at Wild Dunes over the weekend.  On Sunday, we took them out on the boat out to the beach off Kiawah.  How cute is sweet little Knox?

Wheeler made this booby trap while we were there.  My nephew Bo loves pirates, so she made it for him.  They all had fun testing it out!

This little ladybug attached himself to Vaughn and he loved it.  He was sad when it finally had to fly away home.

Later that day, we spent the evening at our friends’ house.  Can you tell we love their pool?  Love this pic.  Lanier threw Vaughn to make him look like he was running across the pool.

Just like their mama, they love the water!

We were hesitant to take the boat out on Monday, thinking it would be too crowded on a holiday, but the beach we picked was practically deserted!

That evening, Wheeler and her buddy practiced casting.  Wheeler’s birthday is less than a month away and she’s already requested a casting net, a new ukulele, and a wakeboard.  I think this life near the water suits her well.

That evening, we had a cook-out and invited our neighbors over.  A great way to end our holiday weekend. // Top (also available here; would be perfect for the 4th too! Wearing a small.) // Paired it with these jeans, this bracelet (on sale), these tassel earrings ($42) and this polish.

I hope y’all had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!  We were so thankful to spend it with good friends and family, and were blessed with awesome weather!  Very thankful we live in a country that gives us that freedom.  Thankful for all that have served our country to protect us.

Hope y’all are having a great week so far!

  1. Summer fun! Love the light blue shop bop dress! And of course … the Lilly coverup is on my “to get” list 🙂

  2. It’s too funny that she wants a cast net for her birthday. I have been reading your blog for a while now and always plan my visits to Charleston around your restaurant recommendations. My boyfriend’s family is actually in the cast net business and I have been telling him for a year now that we needed to send you a Betts buddy net for your kids because they would LOVE it. So check out the Betts Buddy net – it lime green and comes in two versions a quick throw and regular. You can find them at bass pro or local tackle shops like Hadrell’s point or Charleston Angler.

    1. No way! Was about to look on Amazon, but will look there first! Would he recommend a 4′?

      1. He says no matter if you go with the quick throw or classic 4′ would be best. If you have any trouble finding one send me an email and I can help you out!
