Wednesday Whereabouts

Such a fun night celebrating my friend Natalie’s birthday!  Always the BEST time!  We started at The Grocery for dinner and then headed out after that.  Hall’s was sweet enough to bring out a cake for her later that night.

What I Wore

Top // Jeans // Bracelet // Sandals

On Sunday, the weather was absolutely beautiful, so we headed out to the beach.  I had a few of you ask which beach we usually go to.  We like to change it up.  This time we went to Morris Island.  The trees on the beach aren’t exactly the easiest to climb, but they still love it.

Happy Boy!

Wheeler loves exploring and finding creatures and shells.  She always insists on me taking pictures of all of it, and you know me and my love for photography, I’m happy to oblige!

Can you spot the Sullivan’s Island Lighthouse in the background?

Vaughn wanted to build a sand castle behind the trees this time, so the waves wouldn’t knock it down.

How cute is this little house Wheeler made for her sea creature friends?

This view never gets old.

Lanier’s been eating here a bunch recently and has been raving about it.  I met him there this week, and he’s exactly right!  So good!  Called Beech, it’s on King Street.  So many different options.  I loved what I ordered, but I’m already thinking about what I’ll order next time, when I go back.  The sriracha aioli dressing is soooo delicous! // Still loving this little crossbody.  I’m wishing more designers would create crossbodies like this, that can carry an iPhone 7 Plus.

What can  I say, we love taking out the boat.  This time, we drove it and docked it at the Charleston Crab House and had the best time.  Wheeler’s been on a crab leg kick lately, and these were absolutely delicious!  This place has the best customer service.  The staff is so helpful and super friendly.  There’s also outdoor seating on the water, but bring your bug spray.  We encountered so many, we had to head inside.  But next time, we’ll just remember the bug repellent and we’ll be good.

Don’t you love my chef hat?  Haha.  My friend taking the pic didn’t do it on purpose, but I can’t get over how perfectly lined up that cloud is behind me!  So proud of Wheeler at her school performance this week!  She did an awesome job, and memorized all her lines!  She was also just awarded with the Terrific Kid award again this year.  One very proud mama!

The sunset was beautiful on the water on Monday night.  We didn’t realize it at the time, but you can see it in my sunglasses reflection.  Can you tell how much Effie loves her boat rides??  And how cute are her rainbow shorts?  I may go back and order Wheeler a pair too, so they can match.

My favorite motto is on my shirt: “Be Young. Be Foolish. Be Happy.”  If you’re a lover of beach music, you’ll know the song by The Tams.  10% of profits on these Y’allsome Goods tees (along with lots of other tees and products to choose from) help Southern foster kids!  They’re really, really soft cotton.  FYI, I went up a size for a roomier fit.  Wearing these sunnies.

I’m headed to Nashville this weekend to visit my sister, and will definitely be taking this eyelet peplum top along with me.  FYI, it isn’t lined.  I’m wearing a nude strapless bra with it.  I know it seems like it would be completely see-through with the holes in the eyelet fabric and all, but it’s loose-fitting enough, you can’t really tell it’s see-through.  Plus, in the hot summer months, talk about a cute, breezy top!  For fit, it runs true to size.  I’m wearing a small. // iPhone Case // Bracelet // Jeans (currently 25% off!) // Wedges (also available here)

Hope y’all are having a great week so far!

  1. We live in Chattanooga, but my husband travels to Charleston frequently for business, and he always eats at Hall’s. One of his favorite places! Sadly I’ve still not been there, as it’s been a while since I’ve visited Charleston. Hope you have a great weekend in Nashville! There’s a lot to do there. I’m sure your sister knows tons of great places to go! One place in the Nashville area that I love is Arrington Vineyards. The landscape is stunning and the wine is good, too!

  2. Headed to Nashville Sunday night for dinner with friends at Josephine. Hope you have a great weekend! It’s chilly here!!
