After yesterday’s post, I had two readers email me about what running shoes I wear. I’ve had these for about two months now, and love them!
For the 4th, we celebrated with my in-laws at their home.

The weather has been hit or miss with rain these last couple of weeks, so it’s been hard for us to commit to the pool. I’d just hate to pack everything to go, and then a storm/rain shower hits.
Some days we have a great time hanging out at home…
…while other days, we venture out to some fun places!

This past Saturday evening, we walked up to one of your favorite restaurants (The Penguin), and we got stuck in a huge rainstorm. Thankfully, the trees were dense enough on our way, that we didn’t get dumped on, in this spot, and the downpour didn’t last long.
L’s Crewneck is crewcuts (all colors are on sale).
Afterward, we walked up to the Dairy Queen for dessert. If I remember right, it’s the oldest one in Charlotte.
My sister (#2 of the 6) came in town for the week, so we went over to my parents’ house on Monday, to visit them. The dress-up box is always a big hit! Most of the outfits are my sisters’ old dance costumes.
My sister’s youngest of her three (MB) and V, are only five months apart.
He’s a chunk, and she’s a peanut.
And finally, how awesome do these tomatoes look, from our garden?
Cannot wait until they’re all ready to pick!

I adore that flamingo romper! I work with infants and toddlers & sometimes I ask them "do you think they make that [dress/shirt/skirt] in big girl sizes?". If only 😉

Yes, I do remember those swings!! I remember thinking they looked so modern/futuristic, ha! Thanks for making me feel old. Vineyard Vines is having a huge summer sale, but I'm sure you knew:) I stocked up on the clearance little tees.
