Rainy Day Activities + Tory Burch Sale (Last Day!) + Serena & Lily Sale starts today!

It has finally stopped raining here for a bit.  The children don’t have school though, and most places around here remain closed.  Thankfully, we’ve had power, so we’ve been watching movies and thinking of every arts and craft activity we can think of.  Today, I plan on cleaning out and organizing more, and finishing up laundry.
In case you’re stuck inside today too, or just need a few new activities for a rainy day, I’m sharing some below…
Activities When It Rains
(Some sources for ideas: Real Simple & Oprah)
Simply Paint.  Supplies: Small Canvases – Paint – Paintbrushes

Bake.  Whatever you’ve got, since you’ve got some extra time inside, make cookies, brownies, etc.

Have a Treasure Hunt.  The hints can be rhyming.  Place them in envelopes around the house, and have a treat at the last spot (the treasure!).

Prep a longer bubble bath than usual.  Add extra special toys (an exception on such a rainy day).

Make a tent.  Hang sheets off of couches or other furniture.  Read books inside.

Pop some popcorn.  Grab some extra snuggly blankets, pillows and kiddos.  Settle in for a good flick.

Get some binoculars.  Have them look around.  What they spot, they draw a picture of, even have the other children and you guess what they spotted, based on their drawing.

Have them put on a concert or show.  Film it on the iPhone, and then let them sit back and watch the show over and over and over again.

Pictionary, without the actual game.  Draw a simple picture and have the kids try and guess what you’re drawing.  Simple, but they love it!
Tory Burch’s Fall Event ends at midnight.  Don’t forget to use FALLEVENT at checkout.  I’ve included my faves in case you missed them on Thursday’s post.  More details on sizing are included on this past Thursday’s post.

My dress that I posted about on Friday has almost completely sold out, but it also comes in the same style in this print which I love too.

These Caroline Flats are probably my most favorite right now, if you’re trying to decide.  They’re so neutral and go with everything.  Fit is true to size.

I’ve loved using my Perry Tote.  It’s such a great weight and I plan on pulling it back out even in the spring.

For fall, this color Messenger Crossbody is my favorite.  Mine is an older version, but this one is very similar and on sale.  This holds my wallet, keys and phone, with room to spare.
If you’re trying to find a little something extra to hit one of the totals for a discount, consider these logo studs, this wrap bracelet or my forever favorite flip-flops.  I get so much use out of all of them.  I’ve got to sit later and narrow down my cart one last time, before I place my order.  There’s just so much I’m loving!  Don’t forget to enter FALLEVENT at check-out.
My Barbour Beadnell Jacket is still on sale, if you’re considering one.  Not sure how much longer they’ll be marked down.  See Saturday’s post for details on fit and sizing.

If you grew up being a JEM fan, Shopbop recently collaborated with a few designers and created a collection of JEM items for a limited time, from tattoos and sweatshirts to water bottles and iPhone cases.  Would be so fun to be JEM for Halloween!  Check out the whole collection here.
Serena & Lily started their Friends & Family Event today!  Absolutely LOVE their bedding, okay, well everything they carry.  They rarely have 20% off of everything, so be sure and check it out soon.  Popular items will sell out quickly.  Use code: VIPSTATUS at check-out.
I hope y’all have a great start to your week.  When you have a minute, please say a prayer for all of those who have lost loved ones and homes during these floods here.  It’s just something you could never imagine would happen here, until it did.
