Effie’s New Look + Tory Burch Does It Again: My New Favorite Dress!

So thankful it’s Friday!  On Wednesday, the weather was crazy.  We had storms for most of the morning.  Then we had sunny weather.  By afternoon, they were calling for more storms, but instead we got mid-70s and sunny weather.  Thankfully, I was able to change clothes mid-day.  I wore this outfit below in the morning, but was in shorts and flip flops by the afternoon.

And of course this morning, it’s back in the 30s.  It was nice to get warm weather for a stint, but I just wish it would stay!
An update on my cleanse.  As of this morning, I’ve been on it for three full days and I’ve lost over 6 pounds.  As I’ve mentioned before, I know it’s mostly water weight, but it’s a great jumpstart to eating healthy, once I start incorporating food on the 8th day.
As far as the five juices each day, you have to drink them in a certain order.  I noted earlier this week that my absolute favorite is #4.  The Yellow (above) is #3 and I dread it – lemon juice, cayenne pepper, etc.  Thankfully, it’s right before my favorite one, so I have something to look forward to.

I played a tennis match yesterday morning, and I’m not saying it’s completely because of my cleanse but I played #1 Singles and won 6-3, 6-2.  Wish I could’ve celebrated with a fun lunch out, but it was an exciting Gold #2 bottle for me.  Ha.  But boy was it refreshing!  Love the pineapple in that one.  Still loving my tennis bag, by the way!
I mentioned last week that after Effie’s eye appointment last week, she was going to have to get glasses.  Well, we picked both pairs up on Wednesday and she loves them!  And naturally, we had to take TONS of pics in her new stylish glasses…
Just a little excited to get her new glasses!
I picked out the tortoise shell ones, that she calls leopard.
She picked out the blue ones, that she decided to wear on her first day of school wearing them.

I started wearing glasses when I was in first grade, so I feel like she’s a little mini-me now.  At my annual appointment, when I have the option, I always ask for more contacts rather than a pair of glasses.  My glasses prescription is so old that whenever I’ve tried to give my contacts a break and wear glasses, it’s still blurry even when I’d wear my glasses.  So this time around, when Effie got her prescription, I gave him mine, to get new glasses.  So now we’re twins!  Mine are Salvatore Ferragamo and are on sale here!  Effie’s are by Kate Spade, and they’re on sale here.  She’s wearing the adult-size, not kid-size.

Wearing this Anthropologie Top, runs true to size.
And you know me and my addiction for new sunglasses, I had to try on some while we were waiting. Loving these Carrera by Jimmy Choo glitter ones.  They’re sold out pretty much everywhere, but I found one pair left (and on sale) here, and a different print, same style, here on sale.

And this Nicole Miller style.  Found them here for only $39!
Last night, Lanier and I took the girls to see Cirque du Soleil’s ‘Toruk,’ in town for three days.  It was absolutely amazing and so magical!  Effie asked if we could see it again, when it ended.  Wheeler said it was the best ever!  While she’s been saying that about almost everything lately, I think she was serious this time.  It was awesome!
Our seats were unbelievable!
Effie was a little bit apprehensive at first and thought it was going to be really loud, so she sat on my lap the first half.  After intermission, she seriously sat like this the entire second half.  I think her glasses are opening her eyes to a whole new world!

Attempting a pic, and spotting their buddies…
Their poses crack me up!  I told them to smile and they gave me this!
If you have the chance to see it, you must!  The first Cirque du Soleil show I saw was when I was in college and I traveled with friends to Las Vegas.  Mystere.  Loved that one so much too!
What I Wore

I still love wearing last year’s style in this dress so much, so when I saw she came out with new prints I knew I wanted this one.  It’s the same style and fit as last year’s dress, true to size.  Trust me, it’s super comfy but a great fabric that’s the perfect weight to wear year-round!
Paired with:
Harrow Booties (similar at a lower price point herein the end I ended up wearing these clogs instead) // Gigi New York Uber Clutch // Charleston Rice Beads (as a bracelet) // Nails (Essie St. Lucia Lilac) // Julie Vos Cocktail Ring // Tory Burch Simone Cardigan (color sold out, other colors here)
We’re headed out of town this weekend to celebrate my mother-in-law’s birthday.  I hope y’all have a wonderful weekend, the last one in February!  Can’t believe it!
TGIF!
