Top 10 Dresses for Spring

Gingham Maxi Dress // Floral Print Twist Front Dress // White Lace Inset Dress (also in black) // Tassel Cover-Up // Stripe Maxi // Navy Floral Embroidered Dress // Navy Shift Dress // Striped Shift Dress // Navy Maxi // Hot Pink Shift // I’m also loving this one too!

I’ve had some SSP readers ask for dress suggestions for different occasions this Spring (Easter, weddings, lawn parties, etc.), so I thought for today’s post I would do just that.  Sharing my top ten favorites with you today!

Top 10 Spring Dresses

First off, THIS dress was everything I was hoping it would be!  As soon as I saw it in the catalog, I knew I wanted to order it, but wasn’t sure if it would be too long.  Well, as soon as I slipped into it, I knew I was going to keep it.  What’s not to love?  It has pockets, it’s lined and the criss cross back is adjustable, so you can fit it to your comfort level.  I’m 5’6″ and wearing these platform wedges (also available here), so there’s no need to hem it!  But if you’re on the shorter side, no worries, it’s also available in petite too.  For fit, it runs a tad bit big, I’m wearing a 4.  I’m also wearing this strapless bra, and the back of it doesn’t show.  Told y’all I love it!  If you need more convincing, read the rave reviews on it too. // Paired it with this cute straw clutch.

Y’all may remember this red dress I took with me to St. John last month. // Paired here with these sandals.

Well, if you’re not a red fan, but loved the style, Mara just came out with this printed one for Spring.  The colors in it are beautiful.  It’s also a different material than the red one, as well.  More lightweight and flowy.

How pretty is the lace work on this dress?  And the blouson sleeves are gorgeous!  I don’t know why this dress looks so short on the model because it’s not.  I’m 5’6″ and feel like the length is just right.  It’s also available in black and priced just right!

I know, I know, it’s not exactly a dress to wear to a dressy occasion, but I just couldn’t leave this tassel cover-up out.  And who’s to say you don’t need something to wear to a pool party?  So I have a few of these and wear them all summer long.  This color combo is one of the newest ones, and I absolutely love it!  I’ve had some of you ask if it’s machine washable because of the tassels, and it certainly is.  Afterwards, I just hang it to dry and it’s good to go.  Check out all the color combos here.

The fit of this dress is perfect.  Cinches you in in the right place, it falls so nicely and I love the print.  The best part is it comes in lots of different prints.  Scroll through below to check out more prints in the same style…

At only $48, this navy maxi is a steal!  You could wear it so many places!  Based on reviews, it runs a little big, so if you’re between sizes make sure you size down.

Anything bright and pink is a winner in my book.  Toss on neutral heels and little to no  jewelry and you’re good to go.  The color of this shift is all you’ll need.  The knotted tie sleeves are such a pretty touch and the price point is great!

This is another dress I’ve been loving this Spring.  It’s just so easy to toss on and so comfortable.  I’ve already worn it a lot this year so far, from a dinner on vacay to an impromptu bowling night in town.  Ha.  For any of my pregnant mamas, this would be great with a bump too.  If you’re on the taller side though, it may be a little short on you.

This yellow one is currently 33% off!

As if I haven’t talked about this shift dress enough yet, I still couldn’t leave it off of my top ten list.  I mean I love it so much I have it in these two prints.  It’s flowy too, so it works great if you’ve got a little bump.  And no I’m not pregnant, I’ve just had a few mothers asking for maternity suggestions lately.  Again, not sure why it looks so short on the model, but it’s not at all in person.

A classic little shift with the prettiest textured knit cotton.  Loving the versatility of this one.  Pair it with flip flops for running around town or dress it up at night with heels or wedges.  Paired it here with these heels and these necklaces.

I’m happy to report that the turquoise is now available for pre-order!  Perfect for an Easter gift.  Would be really pretty mixed with the pink one!

It’s Friday and the kids don’t have school today, as it’s a Teacher Workday.  I’m still trying to decide where we’ll go.  I still can’t get over how late our Spring Break is this year.  It’s not until the week of April 10th!  We’re still trying to decide where we’ll go this year.  Last year we went to Key West, mostly because it was the only spot that showed warm, sunny days everyday.  Most other cities South of us that week showed rain clouds.  If you have any suggestions in Florida, that would be wonderful!  We’re due for another Disney trip, but I think we’re going to wait and take the boys with us next year.

I hope y’all have a wonderful weekend!

  1. A third recommendation for 30A, specifically Seacrest- there is a condo complex that overlooks the green area at Seacrest Village. You can walk to the greens, shops and restaurants at Rosemary and bike to Alys beach. Both usually do outdoor concerts, plays and movies for kids in the spring. They also have a huge pool with a large green area that is perfect for kids. I’m not sure of the specific name of the condos, but if you look up Seacrest on VRBO there are several listings in the area. Much more kid friendly/walk-able/bike-able than Destin.

  2. That gorgeous Lilly cover up you posted the other week – what size do you wear in that? And have you washed it yet?

  3. You would absolutely love Rosemary Beach near Destin/Panama City. The town reminds me of a European village – so pretty! We ride bikes everywhere. It’s just got a great feel.

  4. Another vote for 30a and Rosemary Beach! I have a good friend who rents out her gorgeous home, it has 5 beds and 4.5 baths! Email me if you want details!

  5. May I ask how tall you are? I’m wondering where some of these dresses would fall on me. Thank you!
