Thirsty Thursday: Sea Island Iced Tea + Leopard + Flutter

Photos courtesy of Amanda
This week’s Thirsty Thursday cocktail recipe was sent to me by Lanier’s cousin.  She said it’s basically a Long Island Iced Tea, but you replace the coke with cranberry juice.  I’m definitely trying this one out soon!  Thanks, Amanda!
Cheers!
P. S. If any of you have a cocktail that you’d like to have featured on a Thirsty Thursday post, email me: sweetsouthernprep at gmail.  I’m always up for trying new recipes, and would love to share them with all of my SSP readers!

Had to share this photo because it’s hilarious.  Wheeler asked if she could take a picture of us with my phone.  When I let her, she captured this…Effie and her WOW face she learned at VBS.  Don’t think she actually grasps the concept!
And then naturally, Effie asked if she could take a photo too.  My swing top from Anthro is still on sale.
Last night, I met a girlfriend out for drinks after the children were in bed.  Before I met up with her, I made a quick trip to Tory Burch to check out the pre-Fall pieces in more detail.  Last week, I obviously had my eyes more on Tory Burch herself than her pieces.  Could you blame me?  How sweet is this little coin case?  I’m really liking the neutrality in this fun print.  Last night I picked up these flip flops in the print.
And I guess I’m really on a leopard kick right now.  So much better than the solid brown for Fall in my book.  The style and fit on these Calfhair Leopard Revas are very new.  They don’t have elastic, and they run large.  If ordering, go down at least a size.
See?  More leopard.  These Kate Spade Lottie Pumps are still available during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale.  After the sale ends, they’ll be back up to $350.  I actually ordered this leopard Foldover Clutch to use this Fall/Winter as well.  I’m patiently waiting for its arrival, as it’s backordered until the end of August.  Can’t wait to pair my leopard pieces with lots of pink this Fall.  And around the holidays I think it’ll be very festive when paired with red.
I’ve been wanting a top in this fluttery silhouette for awhile now.  And J.Crew came through!  I wore this Silk Cascade Blouse last night and love it!  I was surprised they didn’t feature it in their latest Style Guide Catalogue, because it’s beautiful.  For sizing, I’m a 4/6 and actually have it in a 2, so it runs big.  There isn’t a big gap under the armpits which I love.  Overall, a very pretty and comfortable fit.
I know I keep talking about Fall and probably need to stop!  I know it’s the anniversary sale getting to my head.  With all of its Fall/Winter pieces they’re featuring I have to keep in mind that living here, we don’t even see cooler temps until October!  But that’s a good thing!  I prefer hotter weather to colder any day of the week.  At least when it does get cold though, I’ll be pulling all of these fun pieces from the sale out that I’ve had stored away!  So there are perks to the cold!
For now, I’ll be thinking of tops like this blue one.  Perfect for exactly this time of year!
My Equipment Kyle Top is now on sale!  Marked down from $178 to $106.  Get it now before it sells out!  Currently available in all sizes.  For fit, I’m a 4/6 and have it in an XS.  Check out the rest of the Bloomingdale’s Sale here.  It ends on Sunday, the 27th.
Hope y’all have a wonderful Thursday!

  1. I actually just bought those new leopard Revas, but I wear exactly the same size as I do in all my other (original style) Revas. Did not think they ran big at all.

    1. Oh wow. Really? That's so interesting! Maybe I just like my other Revas with the elastic to be a bigger fit on my foot? Not sure why the sizing is different for me with these, but my normal size was huge on my foot. Either way, aren't they amazing?

  2. I want to wear all my new fall clothes too! It's been so pleasant here and then boom! suddenly yesterday was miserable. Love those leopard Revas too!

  3. Great advice on the sizing of the new "elastic free" Revas. I love the calf hair leopard print. I'm not sure about you but I didn't mind the elastic around the heel on the Revas.

As always, Thanks for sharing your awesome blog.
