Thirsty Thursday: The Reef Drink

One of the blogs I read, Let the Tide Pull Your Dreams Ashore featured The Reef Drink last week, and I just had to share it!  I really would love to try this one, as soon as the weather gets warmer, or maybe for Valentine’s Day?

Ingredients:

1/2 oz. Vodka
1/2 oz. Gin
1/2 oz. Light Rum
1/2 oz. Triple Sec
Pineapple Juice

Orange Juice
Splash of Grenadine

Pour the vodka, gin, rum and triple sec into a glass with ice. Fill it with equal parts of orange juice and pineapple juice. Add a splash of grenadine (and I’d garnish it with a strawberry!).  These cocktails even come with a warning…they ruin lives!  Haha!

W had her Valentine’s Day party at preschool, today.  Another mother and I hosted it.  The children enjoyed lots of delicious treats, singing and dancing, and got to go home with soft, brown teddy bears.  So much fun!

Yesterday’s location was Cameron Indoor Stadium on Duke’s campus in Durham, NC. Sad news that we lost last night, but they’ll be in our territory next, and we’ll be ready!

  1. Good morning from Tokyo!

What a sweet way to celebrate Valentine's with your children. I remember hosting many a school party for my daughter and loved every moment. I cannot wait to do the same with my little boy.

A lovely day to you and yours…

    Warmly,

    Elizabeth

  2. Ahhh I was at the Duke UNC game and I was too scared to wear light blue so I wore it under a jacket so nobody would know (but me) and boy was I glad by the time I walked out of that crazy stadium I think I was the only UNC fan in the building! Certainly the only one in the family… 🙁 We'll get em' next time! That drink is so pretty, if only it was lemonade haha! Virginia
