Thirsty Thursday: Morimoto’s High Line Cocktail

I hope everyone’s Thursday is treating them well.  Most days spent at the pool this week for us.  It’s seriously way too hot to do anything else!  This cocktail would sure be refreshing poolside, or happy hour.  🙂  Okay, so this is my last cucumber cocktail for awhile, but they’re so delicious, I can’t resist!  I can’t remember where I found this recipe, so please forgive me if I read about this from you.  I can’t wait to try it!

Ingredients
1 oz. shochu (from Japan, like sake, but distilled; read more about it here)
1 oz. vodka
5 sliced cucumbers
2 mint leaves

Procedure
1) Combine shochu and vodka.
2) Add muddled cucumber and mint leaves.
3) Serve in a highball glass on the rocks with a sugar and chili powder rim.

I think the chili powder on the rim would add the perfect amount of spice, when mixed with sugar!
And what to wear, while sipping this drink?  Hmmm…
I’m not even sure where I’d wear this, but isn’t it GORGEOUS?
If I were Rachel Zoe (stylist), I would ask them to recreate these heels in off white, to match the dress,
or maybe a deep blue?  Too many options!

Yesterday’s location for Wednesday Whereabouts was Hollywood.  And thanks so much for all of the compliments on my hair.  I so wish I could still keep it that way, but it was a high maintenance hair color, for as dark as my hair truly is.  Though, it was fun while it lasted!  🙂

P.S. Jack Rogers will be on Rue La La today, starting at 11:00.  Now, how exactly will I access the site from the pool?  I’ll make it work somehow.  If you want to join, it’s free, click here for the invite.
Happy Sipping and Shopping, Y’all!
