I’ve never had a gimlet before, but when I came across this one in a Huffington Post article, I knew I wanted to try it. It sounds like it’s the perfect cool, refreshment for spring!
Cucumber, Basil and Lime Gimlet
2 Fresh basil leaves
2 (.25-inch) slices Cucumber
1.5 oz Moon Mountain Vodka
1 oz Lemonade
.25 oz Lime juice
Garnish: Lime wedge or cucumber wheel
In a shaker, muddle the basil and cucumber.
Add the remaining ingredients and fill with ice.
Shake well and strain into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice.
Garnish with a lime wedge or cucumber wheel.
Here’s what we’ve been up to lately…
A perfect HomeGoods find for the girls’ room!
Trying out food for the first time. No bueno.
A classroom visit for show and tell.
W brought in Mama and “Mater” for the letter M.
…and Mindy (her Barbie) and Mounds (for her classmates).
One of my sister’s (#3 of the 6s) wedding photos from last July just came out. My sister-in-law was a bridesmaid too (on the far left). And that’s another friend on the far right (she could fit right in with us, looks just like us). I was six months pregnant with V here.
Little L hates haircuts, but they must be done. At this visit, he sat on the hubs’ lap, and it still didn’t subside his fear and tears.
Lots of carpool time…
…beautiful days spent at the park…
…and just hanging around.
If you haven’t tried this champagne in a can, you should. So delicious!
W’s self-portrait, she drew at home the other day. I cherish these.
Here all all of my children, at V’s age (5 months then).
Grandaddy with his grandsons.
Spending some down time with Daddy.
Outside time with drumsticks…W’s favorite.
And my favorite, saved for last…sweet little L still holds V’s hand on car rides.
Melts my heart!
Happy Thursday, Y’all!
