Thirsty Thursday: Corona Light

While I’ve had my fair share of margaritas, pina coladas and daiquiris at the beach this week, nothing is easier (no concocting required), and more refreshing, than a Corona Light with a lime wedge.  To me, a Corona screams the beach.  I’m sure all of you have seen the numerous Corona commercials on TV.  While I’m nowhere near a tropical island right now, I think it still tops off any relaxing day at the beach, or anywhere really.  Wow, I sound like a Corona ad.  Trust me, I’m not getting paid to write this, I just love them.  Seriously, what’s easier than grabbing a bunch of Coronas, tossing them into a cooler, and then heading to the beach?

So sit back, close your eyes, sip slowly and RELAX!
And a bathing suit to match, particularly this one, would be a perfect combo with a Corona.
This suit and the cover-up would also be a perfect tag for Trish’s Pink and Green Thursday!

Crazy that this is the same model, in almost the same pose, but I love this cover-up.
And at $38, I think I may just go ahead and order it, and maybe wear it as a sundress too.
I know I’ve featured these before, but they’re so neutral and go with everything.
Plus, they’re on sale now at Nordstrom for $75 off.
Cheers to drinking Coronas in this ensemble!

  1. I love a good beer on a hot day.

The sandals are darling. I'm going to run on over to the Nordstrom site and check them out.

    Thanks for posting. 🙂

    Have a great day.

  2. For some reason i cannot stand beer. I am not a drinker any way, but beer seriously makes me nauseous. However anytime I see someone with one it makes me think the beach lol. Weird I know!I absolutely love that bikini! Too bad I am not skinny enough to wear one…oh well maybe next year!

    xo

  3. Love that you are matching you outfit you your beer. That does happen enough. I love Corona Light with lime, I just resently tried Mikes Hard Limeade and that's delicious and refreshing (much better then the original). Cheers!

  4. Well you just crafted the perfect summer beach ensemble to wear while drinking the perfect summer beverage! 🙂

  5. I agree, I do love a good frozen drink on a hot day, but cold refreshing Corona Light with lime is hard to beat as well. That TT swimsuit is adorable, somehow I have missed seeing that one this year.

  6. I could not agree with you more about the Coronas with lime–yummmm!! Super cute bathing suit and for the shoes–I'm heading over to Nordies right now!

  7. YOu know, as much as I have tried…I just can't develop a love for beer (any beer)…though a cold one always looks so yummy!

BTW, love that cover up! Enjoy your time on the beach…nothing finer!

  8. Ashley,

You make me laugh. I love this beer!! The picture of the Corona caps is great. Aren't their commercials the best?!

  10. Hi there gorgeous girl, hope you are soaking up every moment of happy times at the beach this week with those beautiful baby girls of yours! I just adore everything you do and post (although my pesky work schedule prohibits me from commenting as frequently as I would like to) but your blog deserves every bit of recognition and accolades it gets! You are such a genuine gal and one I am so super excited to know (and hopefully get to meet sometime too!)

As you know we're heading to Mexico (OMG less than a week, gotta get packing!) so your Corona-inspired post had me intrigued! Love the accessories you selected, absolutely parfait!

Keep in touch honey, you are wonderful and such a sweet, sweet friend! Enjoy the rest of your vacay! xoxoxo

  11. I could not agree more. These ooze summer and a lime wedge is a must 😉

I love that Trina Turk bikini and Nordstrom cover-up. I can totally see you rocking the cover-up as a cute sundress.

Enjoy the rest of your time in NC!
