The William Moultrie + Navy Favorites + Gigi New York Winter Sale

After posting a pic of the cocktail I raved about on yesterday’s post from The Obstinate Daughter, I received a few emails asking what exactly is in it.  I knew then that it would be perfect to share for today’s Thirsty Thursday cocktail.  Enjoy!
The William Moultrie
(via The Obstinate Daughter)
Highwire Hat Trick Gin (a locally gin)
Freshly-juiced Cucumber Water (obviously any kind of cucumber mixed in is fine)
Grapefruit Juice
Key Lime Juice
Simple Syrup
Soda Water
Basil (for garnish; You probably noticed in yesterday’s post that my basil leaf looked a little soggy, that’s actually on purpose.  Their basil is picked from their herb garden and “slapped” to allow all of the essential oils out into the cocktail, making it taste that much more delicious.)
I’m not sure how many parts of all the ingredients are in it, but you can play around with them and add each to your taste.  And trust me, it’s pretty much impossible not to have a second.  It’s THAT tasty and super refreshing!
I also had a reader ask me to share my top picks from the restaurant.  In no particular order (and by the way, this is making my stomach rumble as I type): the geechie frites are a must, their oysters and griddled octopus are divine, and I absolutely LOVE their ricotta gnocchi!  Their pizza is pretty phenomenal too!
Cheers!

I feel like everyone in town has some sort of cold or sickness lately.  Thankfully, my children haven’t picked up any of the stronger viruses…yet.  I took Effie in yesterday, just to be sure and the doc said she was just really congested, and a heads up that strep and stomach bugs have been going around.  I realize that many of you are cooped up in your homes surrounded by snow, but down here, that’s obviously not the case.  I mean look what I wore yesterday, for instance…

A tee (only $17.99 with code: SHOPNOW), shorts AND sandals!  But it was 65 degrees!  We took full advantage of the amazing weather and spent much of our afternoon playing outside.
And if you remember this past Saturday, I was writing that it was so cold it was snowing.
So all in all, yes we definitely can’t complain here and are happy to have beautiful weather when we can get it, but I think the constant sickness here is because of the frequent weather changes.  And of course the weather today?  Cold and rainy.

Just a few favorites lately.  Would look so well paired with anything formal you’re attending this winter or maybe Valentine’s gift ideas?

Kendra Scott Earrings (LOVE this new style and the stabilized opal color) // Kate Spade Bracelet (this color sold out extremely quickly at Nordstrom and Kate Spade, but I found it here and here) // Julie Vos Ring

So I know I shared some pink favorites on Tuesday’s post, but today I’m sharing ten great gift ideas with a classic navy theme (for Valentine’s Day, maybe? Hint, hint significant others!).  By the way, this is a cute tee for a gift too…or for yourself.  Just a heads up that it’s selling out pretty quickly!
In the Navy

Obsessed with this necklace!  It’s got the perfect amount of bold, chunkiness to it, while remaining classy at the same time.  Kate Spade is so good at designing pieces like that.  Would make any outfit pop!)
Love the new blue version of my favorite watch!
Still one of my all-time favorite colors.
I’m sure you’ve noticed it in many of my outfit posts.  Love this ring so much, especially how it changes colors depending on how the light hits it.
Such a pretty palette.  Currently on sale, 20% off!

I love everything Kendra Scott creates, and these are no exception.  Absolutely beautiful.
These are still a hit, whenever I pull them out at my house.  A great quality and I always receive compliments on them.  My friends never believe when I tell them they’re by Tory Burch.  They’re priced really well too, the set of 4 is only $54.
These pjs are some of the softest ones I own!  Trust me, these would make an awesome gift to anyone on your list.  I just got this color combo last week, and I’m in love with them!
I have a few sizes of these bottles.  If you haven’t heard of them yet, they’re awesome!  Basically, here’s the rundown, it’s a “double-walled stainless-steel water bottle featuring ThermaSwell™ fabrication that keeps cold drinks cold for up to 24 hours and hot drinks hot for up to 12. Designed to fit in a standard car cup holder, it features a wide mouth that makes it easy to fill, add ice cubes and clean.”
Uber Clutches are my absolute favorite.  Love this classic navy one.

Speaking of Gigi New York, their Winter Sale just started!  One of my favorite go-to crossbodies is part of the sale, the Madison Crossbody in Stone.  It’s almost $100 off!  Check out everything on sale here, lots of Uber Clutches and All-In-Ones are included too.
Loving this Uber Clutch in Wine.
Don’t forget you can get everything personalized, and if it’s a gift, that would make it that much more special.
Happy Sipping, Y’all!
