Today’s holiday gift guide is all about the beauty lover.  I love all of the fun holiday specials that debut this time of year, featuring my favorite brands.  I’ve already picked up the two above, and can’t wait to try them out.  Shameless I know, since it’s a gift guide, but I guess with beauty, they’re great as gifts, but fun to gift yourself too.

So the one on the left is the Bobbi Brown Brightening Brick.  I’ve always used the bronzing powder (in Golden Light), but thought I’d try this since it’s more of a subtle highlighter to apply in particular spots on my face.  It’s the newest brightening brick from Bobbi Brown, that promises to give you a subtle glow.  I use this brush for applying my bronzing powder.  I recently ordered a new one and the bristles are way softer than my other one.  I use this brush for my blush and LOVE it!

I’ve really been wanting to try a smokey eye for evening’s out.  Love that this one comes with a brush and mascara.  Would be great for travel too.  It’s valued at $82, but only $42!

How cute is this cup for the holidays?  Would make a great gift!  P. S. I just got the plum colored sweater I’m wearing here and it is the softest thing ever.  Like I honestly feel like I’m wearing pajamas when I’m out, it’s that comfortable.  I’ll post a full pic of for you soon.

I popped into Anthropologie the other day and all of their Christmas decor was on display.  I always love their ornaments.  This one is my favorite this year!

I’ve had a few of you ask about my gel nails, and how they’re doing.  So I’ve had them two weeks now and I can honestly say they’re all still completely in tact, no chips at all.  The only problem I have is that my nails grow pretty quickly, so now there’s a significant gap between the polish and my cuticle, which makes it look kind of funny.  Would I get gels again?  Probably not.  As most of you know, I’m used to painting my own nails anyway.  So I’ll probably just keep doing that from now on.  But the gel nails were fun to try!

I’ve received a few emails lately asking about my hair, and if I still used my straightener to get my waves.  I do every once in awhile, but after getting this BeachWaver during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale this year, I’ve loved it!
