Last night, I attended the James Beard Foundation’s Celebrity Chef Tour
at Cannon Green. Frankly, any time there’s an event here, I’ll go. This venue is one of my favorites in Charleston. What I wouldn’t give to have a little area like this in my own home for entertaining would be a dream!

Our amazing celebrity chefs for the evening…
Host Chef Amalia Scatena from Cannon Green
Emily Hahn from Warehouse Bar + Kitchen, Charleston, SC
Kristen Kish from Boston (Winner of Season 10’s Top Chef)
Jill Mathias from Chez Nous, Charleston, SC
Rebecca Wilcomb from Herbsaint, New Orleans
Pastry Chef Katy Keefe from McCrady’s, Charleston, SC
The chef tour is a 20-city series, so check out the schedule and see if there’s one coming to your area here
. If there is, I’d highly recommend it. Each dinner starts off with cocktails, then a one-night-only, multi-course dinner with wine pairings featuring both local and celebrity chefs, and ending with dessert and a Q&A session with the evening’s chefs.
In front of the green doors. And yes, I chose green to wear to Cannon Green. When I tried this dress
on, I knew immediately that it needed to be in my closet. If you’ve watched Gone with the Wind
, Scarlett wears a green garden party dress, and this dress reminded me so much of it…thankfully without the corset and hoop skirt.
The Beach Read
Both cocktails last night sounded so yummy, but this one was my favorite! Now if I can figure out how to make strawberry jalapeño soda, I’ll be all set.
Strawberry Jalapeño Soda
With my friend Jenna and Carrie Morey (of Callie’s Biscuits – if you ever visit Charleston you MUST stop in and try a fresh one, they are absolutely amazing!
Truly a beautiful evening last night.
After cocktails, we headed inside for dinner.
Each course was served family-style to each table, so we each served ourselves a little and passed it around. I felt like this lent itself to even more socializing. We had the best time at our table!

I’ve been hunting for a pair of espadrilles for awhile and tried these on yesterday. They’re super cute and fit true to size.
And if you’re shopping for a dress, get this one. It runs true to size, hits at a great length and the material is extremely soft. When I tried it on, it honestly felt like I was wearing pajamas. You could dress it up with wedges for an evening out or dress it down with sandals or even flip flops (my Tory Burch ones are my absolute favorite! If you’re between sizes, size up.) during the day. I’m also loving the color and style of this dress too.
My little Mini Saddlebag is included in the sale.
Also comes in a camel color I’m loving too.
Don’t forget to enter code: BLOOM at check-out. Aside from Miller Sandals, most everything else is included in the sprint event, with free shipping and free returns.
