BURU Love!

This past Friday, I attended an event hosted by Morgan Hutchison of ShopBURU.com.  She arrived with a large van full of shoppable goodies to give us an idea of what all her site carries.  Genius!  Since I’m used to doing most of my shopping online, seeing actual pieces in person was such a treat!
The online site she created is so very cool.  Basically, she carries a variety of designers that you may not find just anywhere online.  In addition, many of the styles Morgan selects to carry can be worn as a new mother, and beyond.  I know a lot of mothers are frustrated that they have to buy transition pieces that they know they probably won’t wear again after they finish nursing or lose their baby weight.  Well, ShopBURU.com solves that problem by carrying pieces that can be worn during the transition period and on after, becoming wardrobe essentials.
This Mara Hoffman Dress I wore this past Saturday night is a perfect example.  Its billowy, soft fabric will cover any trouble spots after baby.  I know it’s been 2 1/2 years since I’ve had a baby, but I was more than happy to wear this silk, flowy dress that I picked up the other night at the event.  Needless to say, new mother or not, you will love the wide variety of designers and styles ShopBURU.com carries.  For a full list of designers, check them out here.
Another perk of the site is the extensive description of each piece.  What other online site can you say describes each item in such detail, and provides as many styling options?  Take this Bella Dahl Chambray Top for example…
I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect chambray shirt for awhile now.  Last week at the event, I came across the Bella Dahl Chambray Top shown above, tried it on and fell in love.  It’s the perfect fit; a little loose and oversized, such a soft fabric and even has a split-back longer hem for added comfort.  I know I’ll be wearing this one on repeat.  Fit is true to size.
Can we talk about how my children are growing up way too fast, my boys especially lately.  But they still love to be held.  In their own words, “Hold you. Hold you, Mama.”  It will be a sad day when they no longer want me to hold them, or worse, they get too big for me to do so.  But you know I’ll always still try!  Love their sweet hearts and hope and pray they never change.  That warm hug I get when I pick them up melts me every single time.
