With Valentine’s coming up in less than a month, I thought I’d find a fun one to give you plenty of time to have it prepped for Valentine’s Day!
(found it here)
1 1/2 Cups Pomegranate Juice
1 Cup Pear Nectar
1/4 Cup Orange-Flavored Liqueur (such as Grand Marnier)
1 Bottle Champagne
In a large pitcher, combine pomegranate juice, pear nectar and orange-flavore liqueur.
Slowly add champagne.
Serve over ice.
We used champagne in this punch, but other sparkling white wines, such as Prosecco, are equally festive and just as good.
Yesterday, I had Effie and Logan’s yearly conferences at school. Since the children aren’t allowed to attend the conferences with me, my mom offered to take the three of them to visit her father (my grandfather). One of my sisters also went with her. Wheeler couldn’t go, since she was in school. I think it’s safe to say they had a great time. Thanks for the pics, MC!
While I was waiting to go into Effie’s conference, some of the students’ artwork was on the wall. Some children wrote things about dreaming about puppies, others about rainbows, this is what Effie wrote…
Don’t we all? Love my girl so much!
When my conferences ended, I had some time to kill, so I decided to stop over at our mall. Thought y’all might think this was fun, so I photographed pics along the way. And y’all, this was a super big treat for me. I was kidless and in no real rush!
My first stop when I get to the mall is always Nordstrom. I especially wanted to check-out their latest sale that started yesterday. Many items are now 50% off. The girls have also started growing out of their socks, so I stocked up on their favorite tulip socks. I also grabbed some of these athletic ones too, since they’re on sale.
Michael Kors Bradshaw Watch // Stella & Dot Renegade Bracelet // Tory Burch Wrap Bracelet // Anthropologie Wrap Cardigan // Barrington Gifts Tote // Tory Burch Revas (this color is currently unavailable, have had them for a few years, but here’s a similar hot pink pair) // AG Distressed Jeans (these are the exact ones)
After posting about this Anthropologie Highlands Coat on this post last week, I’d been wanting to go in and try it on. After trying it on, I think it’s safe to say it was everything I’d hoped it’d be. Super comfy and not tight-fitting at all. Love all of the different textures of it too. It was $198, but I scored it yesterday for $59 during Anthro’s Tag Sale! Hurry though. There are only a few sizes left, and today is the last day of Anthro’s Tag Sale. Make sure and check back in the mornings, they re-stock returned items overnight. Enter code: EXTRAEXTRA at check-out to take an additional 40% off sale items. For fit, it runs big. I’m a 4/6 and am wearing a small. And the Mint Blouse behind me is just as beautiful on as it is hanging. It has the prettiest buttons down the back too. For fit, it runs a little big. If you’re between sizes, definitely go up a size.
My OOTD: Cardigan (for a looser fit like mine, order up a size) // Jeans // Tee // Flats (old, similar here) // Rings // Polish is Scarlett O’Hara
I am obsessed with this Gap Blouse. It is so soft and a great relaxed fit! Like I love it so much, I think I’m going to order it in at least one other color. Would be so easy to add a fun necklace to, as well. Everything at Gap is currently 35% off with code: BEST at check-out.
For fit, I’m a 4/6 and am wearing a Small and it’s still pretty loose, which I love. I’m also 5’6″ and look how well it covers my rear. A big win in my book. I just checked online, and this blouse isn’t available online, only in stores right now. I’ll be sure and let you know as soon as it shows up online!
I also really loved this shirttail dress, as well. A great weight and the hem drops a little in the back too. It runs big, so if you’re between sizes, size down.
J.Crew has a lot of new items that just arrived. This Leopard Calfhair Pouch is very similar to my Clare V one, and the price is a lot lower too.
I’m a 4/6 and liked the Medium in this one. It’s short but the sleeves are long, but I plan on pairing it with long shirts underneath. It’s super comfy too!
A great soft tee to pair with a cardigan or wrap or by itself. Runs big. I’m a 4/6 and the Small fit with some extra room.
Awesome Tee (this shirt will not last long; the back says ‘Some’) // Heart and Soleil Tee (dreaming of summer with this one) // ‘I Love You’ Card and ‘Together Forever’ Card – I plan on framing them and displaying them somewhere.
Envelope Crossbody (only 4 left!)
I couldn’t leave without a trip to Tory Burch. The ladies said I came a week early, as next week, the newest line drops in stores. Supposedly it’s expected to be pretty amazing, especially if you’re big on color! Cannot wait to see it all!
How pretty are these rooms at Pottery Barn Kids? My girls would be in heaven for a room like either of these!
A few other signs I fell in love with, while shopping there…
To end the afternoon, I hit up my favorite place for fresh sandwiches in town, Dean & DeLuca. If I’d had a little more time and not hungry, I would’ve stopped into Lululemon and Lilly Pulitzer (love this tunic in this new Cattitude print) before I left the mall. Two more of my favorite spots!
I also shared my Wednesday Whereabouts a little bit later in the day yesterday. Check out our weekend away recap here.
