Our Weekend + What I Wore

We started off this past weekend with a pool party that our friends threw at the prettiest of beach houses!

Nothing like extending Wheeler’s birthday even longer. All smiles for cupcakes!

On Saturday morning, the girls headed over to our neighbors for the cutest breakfast. They had a ball!

I squeezed in a run and some tennis on Saturday morning, before we headed out on the boat. My tennis shoes are unfortunately a few years old, but my tank is available in lots of colors and many are on sale. It’s my favorite sweat-wicking tank and super soft too! Don’t mind my tattoo art on my arm from the night before.

Two of my favorite things to bring on the boat right now. Both the purple thermos and pink cup (with top) keep my drinks so cold, all day long!

Excited for a boat day!

After a morning of church and then lunch, we decided it was too hot to do anything else and met up with some friends for another day on the boat. Wore this top, this skirt, these sandals and these earrings. Girls are wearing Lilly shifts, always the cutest prints. I just ordered this super cute print for the girls. They’re wearing rose gold Jacks to match mine and the boys are wearing these shorts and these shirts.

Relaxing with my now 10-year old. Wheeler’s sunnies are sold out, but these are really cute too and only $8. And I’m wearing this scalloped bikini top.

The prettiest night.

Thought y’all would enjoy this pic my aunt sent me yesterday. This is my grandmother, Maisie Evelene, back in 1962. She went by Effie, hence my Effie’s namesake. My Effie is named Evelene Virginia. Virginia after Lanier’s grandmother. My cute mama is on the right (#2 of 4 children). I know a lot of you have asked about the origin of my childrens’ names. I wrote a post awhile back about it. I’ll have to find it and share it with y’all tomorrow.

Yesterday was all about check-ups and catching up. Vaughn had his adenoid out and tubes put in a few weeks ago. His follow-up went well and everything looks great! Effie has a new glasses prescription so we went and picked up a few new pairs of glasses for her. She’s very patiently waiting for them to come in, within the next few weeks. The entire month of June, the boys have had t-ball games on Monday and Wednesday nights. Last night was the very first rain-out. Hard to believe, seeing as we’ve had so many afternoon storms this month. Their last game is on Wednesday!
