Nashville Trip: Part 2

Like I said on yesterday’s post, I took so many pictures in Nashville, I had to split it into two posts.  Today, it’s all about our Saturday!

Edley’s Bar-B-Que, “a tribue to all things Southern” sounded right up my alley for brunch.

This breakfast burrito hit the spot like no other.  And the grits casserole side was so good, I almost forgot to snap a pic of my meal before I could dive in. // Cutest little coin purse

The most amazing Bloody Mary with the perfect amount of kick! // Sunnies

Couldn’t wait to visit Reese Witherspoon’s store, Draper James.  I think this may be my newest site to shop!  Southern hospitality and style at it’s finest!

I fell in love with the dressing rooms.  I need that striped wallpaper in my life! // Lace Top

This one was my favorite dress in the store, from the style to print, loved it.  For fit, it runs true to size.

I wanted to see downtown Nashville in the daytime, so we headed there in the afternoon.  Acme is Alan Jackson’s place.  You wouldn’t believe how many floors this place had, and each floor was seriously filled with music and people.  We loved the rooftop, but it was pretty crowded.  But I feel like that’s how most places were downtown on such a pretty Saturday.  Next time, I want to visit East Nashville.  I’m so happy there’s always a “next time”!

We stopped into Tootsie’s and this sweet 77-year old was sitting on a stool next to us.  Every time someone would walk in the door, she would request a dance.  Everyone obliged and she knew every single word, to every single song.  Gosh, I wish I could’ve sat down with her for hours, to think the stories she could tell.

What I Wore

Top (I had a girl stop me in Nashville and ask me if it was Kate Spade, she was shocked when I told her how much it was; love this sweatshirt so much and wear it all the time!  It’s also just been marked down and currently available in all sizes!) // Earrings // Shorts

That night, we visited the rooftop at the Thompson Hotel before dinner.  This place has the coolest vibe.  I’d highly recommend it.  A wide open space with plenty of seating.  And the view of Nashville was beautiful at night!

Definitely my favorite restaurant we enjoyed on our trip.  The City House was hands down incredible!  Seriously though, looking at all of these food pics again has my mouth watering.

It was hard to decide on what to order, everything sounded delicious!

We went for the Buttermilk Cheddar Frico first.  This pic doesn’t do it justice.  Crunchy, yummy goodness.

I love Vidalia onions, so as soon as I saw this on the menu, I knew I wanted to order it.  Onions, goat cheese and bread crumbs, the most delicious combination as an appetizer.

This pizza was my favorite meal of the trip!  Ask for it topped with an egg too.  So good that we devoured it and I still wanted more!  Still dreaming about this one.

We sat in a quiet corner of the restaurant upstairs, which we enjoyed.  But I know this downstairs scene would’ve been just as fun.

Afterward, we headed to Henrietta Red to see what it was all about.  It’s one of the newer spots and we enjoyed it too.

What I Wore

Y’all, I seriously loved wearing this top so much that I’m thinking of ordering it in white too.  I received so many compliments on it that night.  I honestly didn’t even think about it being UT orange, but everyone let me know it.  As I mentioned last week, it isn’t lined.  I know that seems weird because it looks like the holes are so big.  But I only wore a nude strapless bra under it, and you couldn’t see through the eyelet.  I guess because it was a little swingy and not against the body, you truly couldn’t see anything.  I went with a small in this one.  Paired it with these jeans, these sandals and this bracelet (told y’all I couldn’t get enough of this one). // iPhone Case

I got home on Sunday afternoon and immediately dropped off my bags at our house and headed to the pool.  I was soooo excited to see the kids and Lanier! // Cover-Up (also available here)

A Few of My Favorite Accessories from the Trip

Flip Flops // Sandals (true to size) // Bracelet Set // Earrings // Ring // Bracelet // Clutch

I knew looking back through these pictures would make me miss Nashville already.  It truly is an amazing place.  If you get the chance to visit, you definitely should!  I’ve been asked whether I love Nashville or Charleston more.  Of course, the answer is definitely Charleston.  Y’all know me and the water, I can’t live too far from it.  But one thing’s for sure, I’ll definitely be back soon.  I need my country music fix.  Thankfully, it’s only a one-hour plane flight away.  And next time, Lanier’s definitely coming with me!  Hope y’all enjoyed my recap!

Happy Thursday, Y’all!

  1. Did you stay in 12 south area ? Or in the suburbs — my sister in law and brother just moved to green hills.. trying to figure out if I should stay with them or if staying closer to 12 south or downtown is important..

    1. We stayed in the 12 South area. But I feel like everything is relatively close. We used uber and lyft a ton. The only time we used the car was to drive out to visit my sister. I know parking can be tricky.

  2. FYI, the link to the tie sleeve sweatshirt goes to something that is listed as no longer available.

    1. Thank you so much for letting me know! Just fixed it! And I also just noticed it’s been marked down to $35!

  3. I loved how I was offered sweet tea at Draper James, southern hospitality! From my experience, the rooftop at Acme is always crowded, but the view is great. I cannot wait to go back this summer. Best city ever!!
