It’s September!! I still can’t even believe it! The temps here are nowhere close to feeling like Fall yet, but I’m so ready. As I try and wrap my mind around the fact that one day it will get a little cooler here, I’ll work on some Fall Favorites to post about soon. In the meantime, I figured that a new month might mean new skincare products for you to try, if you’re stuck in a rut, or even just want to try something new.
Some of you have requested that I write an updated skincare post, as I haven’t posted one in awhile. I completely agree, as I’m definitely using some different products than from my last post. I’ve found these products to work great on my skin and am very happy with how they make my skin glow.
First and foremost, you MUST get one of these Clarisonic Brushes! If you don’t have one yet, it is the best thing ever! I’ve probably used mine for over five years. I don’t use it everyday because that may be a little too harsh on my skin to do it that often, but I do use it at least once to twice a week. In general, I just feel like my face gets that much cleaner after using it, as it really cleans out my clogged pores better. Trust me, it’s a little pricey but definitely worth it.
I absolutely LOVE the way my face feels after washing my face with La Mer Cleansing Gel. You honestly only need one pump each time and it lathers so well. This bottle will last you a long time!
This Bobbi Brown Toner is one of my newest additions to my skincare line-up and it’s now becoming a new favorite! I pour a little out on a cotton ball and wipe it all over my face and I’m amazed at the glow it gives my face.
No matter what daily moisturizer I’ve tried, I always end up going back to this tried and true favorite, Pevonia Hydrating Sunscreen. Most importantly, it has SPF 30, but I love that it’s not too greasy and hydrates my face well. I mean the first ingredient is water, so that’s saying something. Currently 25% off with code: SEPT25W. Also, this is what I use on a daily basis, but when I’m at the pool, I use Vanicream. While it does go on white at first, it soaks into your skin well, and protects my face better when I know I’m going to be in the sun for an extended period of time.
For my overnight moisturizer, I use this Chanel Hydrating Gel. Love applying this every night. Feels so cool and refreshing on my skin. As soon as I tried the sample a month or so ago, I was sold!
I’ve talked about this Bobbi Brown Eye Cream on the blog recently, and how much I’m loving it, but it really does work wonders. It has dramatically reduced my lines around my eyes and my dark circles. Don’t let the tiny container fool you. While it may look like a small amount, you only use a tiny bit each time for your under eyes, so it’ll last you forever.
While I did try the entire Tata Harper line for awhile. I felt like it worked really well at first, but then it just stopped working. I wasn’t seeing the same glow as I had in the beginning while trying out the line. But one product I continue to use and love how my skin feels after I’ve used it is the Resurfacing Mask. I only use it about once a week, but trust me when I say your face will feel the softest it’s felt in a really long time, after you’ve used it.
I purchased these Arcona Triad Toner Pads during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale to try, and I must say I love the way they refresh my skin and the way they smell. I don’t use them everyday, but when my face needs a little boost, like after I shower after a good run, I love using them!
Everyone’s faces are completely different, so these products may or may not work for you. To give you an idea about my skin, I have combination skin. Some spots stay oily, while other areas are dry. And in the winter, my skin can get pretty dry without any product. But with all of these products I use, it helps to combat the dryness and evens out my combination skin really well.
While we unfortunately don’t have a Nordstrom here in Charleston, we now have a Nordstrom Rack opening soon! Cannot wait to check it out! Do y’all have one in your area? Do you like shopping there?
