More Life Lately + What I Wore

Lanier took out for my birthday on Sunday night.  He surprised me with all the spots we visited.  And I loved each and every one!  I wore this top with this skirt (now on major sale!) and these heels with these bracelets in black and green.

First stop, The Obstinate Daughter.

The King’s Honey is always the perfect way to start!

Can’t quit my love for their gnocchi.  This meal and Co’s Curry Shrimp are probably my most fave dishes in all of Charleston!

To die for!  Gingerbread Cheesecake!

Festive Accessories – This ring with these bracelets.

Such a perfect meal!

Still loving these festive heels.  Receive compliments whenever I wear them.  For fit, they’re true to size.  Order today and they’ll still arrive by Christmas.

I was told right before we left that I needed to bring a pair of jeans and socks.  I knew right away we were going to go bowling!  I finished the night with a pretty fine score!  I think Lanier was just trying to be nice to me with his score.  😉

The kiddos all had their well check-ups this week.  Nothing like waiting until the very end of the year to knock them out.  But they’re done and all had a clean bill of health!  This was us shopping at Target in between their appointments.

I’ve had a Singer Sewing Machine for about ten years now and have never really found a place for it.  It was brown and desperately needed staining.  Lanier holed himself up in the garage leading up to my birthday and surprised me with my table for my birthday!  He sanded, stained and distressed it this color all on his own…even picked out the paint color!  Needless to say I was very impressed!  And such a sweet and thoughtful gift!

The next night, my friends helped me celebrate at Graft Wine Bar for a pre-dinner drink.  The selection they have there is amazing!  Loved this Montepulciano!

Alright, if you haven’t been to Melfi’s yet, you must!  Make sure you go on an empty stomach so you can try out lots of dishes.  This pizza was divine and so was their white pizza.

As far as pastas, we loved so many, but this farro dish, I’m going back for soon!  We loved it so much, we ordered it twice!  Hoping to take Lanier back here sometime soon!

Wearing this new sweater dress (currently 40% off!), these pink heels and these earrings.  Love that this dress is fitted up top, but swingy at the bottom.

Don’t know what I would do without these girls!  Such a fun night!

How delicious do these chocolate-covered Oreos look??  The tennis team we played against brought them and I may have had one…or two!

The cutest bow!

Can you spot all four??

Nothing like a Target run on my birthday!

And a special birthday treat!  Getting to hold this sweet precious 5-week old!

Wore this top (my solid green has sold out, but this printed green one in the same style is currently on sale and under $50!) with these earrings (such a fun conversation piece, they’re merlot wine bottles that say ‘Happy Holidays’) to an ornament exchange party.  P.S. The earrings aren’t heavy at all.

Such a fun night!  I ended up with another narwhal ornament to add to my collection!

Last night was the first night in almost a week that I didn’t have evening plans.  And it was great to snuggle up in these pajamas and my all-time favorite slippers and watch The Family Stone.  One of my favorite Christmas movies!  Order my slippers now and they’ll still arrive by Christmas Eve!  For fit, I’m an 8.5 and wear a 9 in them.

Today is the last day of school before Winter Break!  And it’s only a half-day.  They get out at 10:30am.  I’ll sure be making the most of the little bit of time I have left!  I had some of you ask about this china.  It’s Wedgwood Traditions, our wedding everyday china.  And how cute is this coffee mug??

Had such a fun week attending all the kids’ holiday parties!  Whether it’s helping them make gingerbread houses, decorate cookies or letting them sit in my lap while they listen to their teacher read a Christmas story, I’ll cherish these days forever! // Wearing this comfy striped pullover.

After posting this pic to Instastories yesterday, many of you asked where I got my string and clips to hang all of our Christmas cards.  I got them here and the little clips can light up too.  Only $19.99!

I hope y’all have an amazing weekend, filled with love and laughter and memories to be cherished for years to come!  The holidays come and go so quickly, it’s hard to slow down and take it all in.  But if you have time in all the rush <and sometimes stress> just sit down, even for a few minutes and breathe, and try and remember the true reason for the season.

TGIF, Y’all!

And in case you missed yesterday’s post, I shared more of what we’ve been up to lately and more outfit ideas here.  Lots to share!
