Mexico Recap + What I Wore

This is the softest, comfiest dress!  As soon as I tried it on, I knew I wanted to wear it on the plane.  I love that it has some swing to it too.  Paired it with these earrings.

Loving my new rose gold luggage!  It also comes with a smaller size, but we carried all of our luggage in just this one.

Exactly 50lbs!  Just kidding, well it did weight 50lbs, but that was after I had to take some things out and put in my carry-on.

The flight was delayed, so we tried to get some pics of my outfit while we were at the airport.

I carried this canvas tote with me the whole week and loved it!  It’s only $32 and holds so much.  Love that it’s so deep and such a great price.  Comes in lots of other prints, too.

We made it!  Brought along these sunnies for the trip.

We traveled with our good friends and as always had the best time with them!

Obsessed with the fit of this pink top!  Definitely going back and ordering the blue one too.  Paired it with this hot pink necklace.

Off to breakfast in these tee, these sandals, this new hat, earrings and sunnies.

Most days we enjoyed relaxing under these little huts by the ocean with the nicest breeze.

Off to dinner.  Lanier’s wearing this shirt.  I’m wearing this dress and these earrings.

I loved carrying these pink stripe jellies with me.  They’re a new color by Jack Rogers!  They also come in many other colors.  I’m a big fan of the seafoam color too.  For fit, they only carry whole sizes.  I’m an 8.5 and wear an 8 in them.

Still love this embroidered top so much.  Wear it all the time!

So I forgot to pack the bottoms to this bikini, but I do love the top!

We had the best room service while we were there.  They brought flowers to the room everyday.

Wearing this navy tank.

These were obviously my sunglasses of choice on the trip!  How cute is the back of this bikini?

Left to Dress: Blue (on sale!) // Navy Printed // Aqua // Red

I wore all of these dresses while on the trip, unfortunately, I didn’t snap pics of them all while we were there.  Having too much fun, I guess.

All in all, it was another fabulous vacation!  The weather couldn’t have been more perfect and we were lucky enough to enjoy it with the best company!  Having been married almost 19 years and last year being our first true vacation and this one our second, I think we’re going to start making it a yearly thing.  While it’s definitely hard to be away from the kids for that long, we realized it’s good for us to have a break and reconnect and focus on each other.  Already thinking about next year’s trip!

Happy Saturday and Happy Mother’s Day!

Anthropologie is having a major sale this weekend!  Everything is 20% off!  Items are automatically discounted at checkout.  This includes this dress that I’ve already worn a few times.  Obsessed!

And this Clare V mini crossbody I just got!  These never go on sale!

  1. LOVE that y’all made time for each other and got away. It seriously is so important for your marriage! I’d love a “how does she do it” type post of how you prepare to leave your kids for that long. Who stepped in? Anything you do as far as preparing to make it easier on whomever is watching them?! I know it is so hard to leave them, but it takes a village, for sure, and so necessary!

    1. My inlaws came in town and watched the children while were gone. I gave them a very detailed schedule. 😉

  2. What a beautiful vacation, the beach is always a good choice! Where did you stay? Looking for good places to go in Mexico.

  3. Sounds like an awesome trip!! I know you’re super organized. As a fellow mom of four, how did you do school and childcare stuff for the week? I think that’s the part that we haven’t been able to figure out well enough to make a trip happen for us. I’m thinking maybe once our littlest is in school too 😊

    1. My inlaws stayed at our house and watched them while we were gone. I gave them a very detailed schedule. 😉

  4. Looks like a great trip! What resort did you vacation at in Mexico? We are in the process of planning a trip!
    Thanks!!
