As promised, I’m back this week to share with you the prettiest little black dress. This LBD from Marc by Marc Jacobs has everything you need – a hint of stretch, the right fabric, the best length and the daintiest ruffles that add the perfect amount of femininity. Pair it with a simple black bag, black cat eye sunnies and classic, patent black heels and you’re all set. As always, I ordered the entire ensemble from Nordstrom, and it arrived on my doorstep within a week. The dress didn’t even have to be steamed. And did I mention, it was shipped for free? I will say I did order two pairs of heels because I wasn’t sure about the sizing, but I knew that I could return whichever shoe didn’t fit, for free. If you’re interested in these, get them quick. They’re selling out fast. I do have a Nordstrom in town, but so many times it’s easier for me to order because I don’t have the time to look at everything in the store. And even when I do pick something, I always still have to try it on again at home, in natural lighting. But I will say that Nordstrom’s mirrors in their dressing rooms are awesome. You can definitely see what you’ll look like from every angle.

For fit, I’m a 4/6 and the size small worked for me. I’m an 8.5 and got a 38.5 in the heels. What I love most about this classic look is that you can pair practically any of your favorite jewelry with it. Marc by Marc Jacobs makes some pretty necklaces too. Check out this one that would go with everything. They also carry this pretty ring that I love, and it’s on sale.

The children are all almost 100%, thank goodness. I’m not sure what’s up with me. My sinuses are crazy inflamed right now. But I’ve got to make the most of it. Sweet little Logan is turning 3 today! And he is sooooo excited! Like he sang “Happy Birthday” to himself when I rocked him last night. A little pre-celebrating. And did I mention of all my kids, he’s the one that’s most obsessed with sweets? Needless to say, he’ll definitely be in cupcake heaven today! Lanier’s out of town until tomorrow night, so we’re waiting and celebrating it with family on Thursday night. But don’t think he’ll be forgotten. There will be plenty of celebrating today…that will just extend for two more days. A very special week for my big boy!
