Trying to catch up on my Life Lately posts. My apologies for the delay! A few weeks ago while the children were away for the week with their grandparents, I enjoyed lunch at my favorite spot, The Obstinate Daughter. Wore this dress, these earrings (only $10) and these bracelets (only $15 each).
I know I usually get the same thing every time I go, but I just can’t help. I dream about their Farro Salad and Gnocchi. They also just updated their wine menu and this white is so light and refreshing!

On Friday night, Lanier and I took the boat out for an evening cruise.
How great are these tees? They were just restocked too! It’s a fun limited collection that Vineyard Vines has with JAWS.
I had to preface this by saying, no I don’t have a thigh gap. Never have, never will. It was just the angle. But I’m thankful to Lanier for finding that angle. Haha. Wearing this bikini top and these sunnies. The bikini bottoms that matched were a little too skimpy for my comfort level, so I wore these bottoms instead.

My inlaws and my father-in-law’s brother and wife kept all 10 of their grandchildren for an entire week under ONE roof this past week! Yes, you read that right. And they had the BEST time! Like my didn’t even want to leave when we came to get them. They kept asking if they could stay a few more days. That says it all right there. They built and painted bird houses, kayaked, swam, sang, performed, rode around the farm, ate Grammy and Mimi’s home cooking all week and just had a blast with their grandparents and cousins! This is the second summer of ‘Camp Metter’ and I just love the start of this tradition so much! These special memories will last them a lifetime. Oh yeah and the ages? Youngest to oldest: 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12. Pretty cool, right?
The next day, we did our favorite thing to do…we took the boat out!

If y’all know Effie, she’s had glasses for almost five years. And can I just tell you, since the beginning she’s always had so much pride in her look. She was never worried about what people thought about her new look when she got glasses for the first time. While I honestly thought the pair she got those five years ago (in the second pic) would last her all these years, I guess I didn’t realize how hard it would be to take care of a pair of glasses. But when I look back, I love all of her different pairs and colors. She recently asked if she could get a clear pair. It’s still taking me a little time to get used to, but she absolutely loves them! And really, that’s all that matters! ❤️ {P.S. She dressed herself in this cute outfit when I told her we were going to pick up her new glasses. 🥰}
I’ve started up barre classes again and have enjoyed them so much! Last week, we did a class on the pier near the bridge at sunrise and it was so majestic and beautiful! // Yoga Mat
Loving this tennis dress so much! Wearing a medium. The fabric is great and washes really well. Just hang to dry and no wrinkles. Actually love it so much that I ordered it in this purple color way too.
Loved this butternut squash pizza at Crust last week. All of their pizzas are gluten-free too.
More Lulu Love! Y’all have been asking about what I wear for tennis. Most days I wear tennis dresses, but they sell out so quickly it’s hard to share them here because they’re already sold out before I can. But this is one I’ll be wearing as one of my tennis team uniforms this season, that’s why you’ll notice I have so many of the different styles in the same Blue Cast color. This top is so comfy. Love the fabric too! For fit, I size up but probably could’ve stayed with my normal size and it would’ve been fine. I always size up if I’m not, just in case it shrinks a little in the wash. Paired it here with this tennis skirt which I love!
Here’s the back of this top with this skirt. For fit on the skirt, I went up one size.
Y’all know how much I love my Define Jackets. I know it’s crazy to think about jackets when it’s 90+ degrees outside, but when the weather cools, I’ll be excited I score this jacket in this color. This Blue Cast color is such a pretty dark greyish blue.
Another favorite style and fabric is this tank. It fits a little shorter, so if you have a shorter torso this one if for you.
And finally, I’ll leave you with this top. The back is my favorite. Paired here with this skirt and this Free to Be Serene Bra. I like this style bra under it because it’s more narrow at the top. I sized up one size on all of these pieces.
I hope y’all have a great start to your week! I’m so sorry about the misinformation on the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I was totally confused and thought it opened to all card holders last Tuesday. So from what I’m understanding how is that this year they’re doing it in increments. August 4th was only for Icon Members…meaning apparently I shop there a lot. Haha. On August 7th, it opened for all Ambassadors. Not sure how you get this title. On August 10th, it opened to influencers. And on August 13th, it opens to all card holders. If you don’t own a card, but want one, head over here to apply for one. You’ll also receive a $60 Nordstrom Note for applying. For the public, it starts August 19th. Here’s hoping it won’t be picked through by that point. I’ll let you know if I hear whether or not they’re planning on restocking items.
