Life Lately + What I Wore

What a weekend we had!  We started it off with a day date on Friday for lunch and some shopping.  Obsessed with this sweater!  I’m usually not a sweater fan because I always think they’re too uncomfortable and itchy or too boxy and not comfy enough.  Well, let me tell you, this sweater is none of those things.  It’s soft and a little longer which I love.  Actually, I love it so much that I ended up getting it in the pink print too!  For fit, it runs true to size.  I’m wearing a small.  Paired it with these flats, these earrings and these sunnies.

King Street shopping is one of my fave spots!

Jalapeño Guava Margarita – just the right amount of spice!

Papaya Salad

CO – I know I say this all the time, but if I could eat this Curry Shrimp everyday, I would!

I had a bunch of you ask about my Starbucks order lately.  Well, I usually try and change it up every so often.  On this particular day, I got a Venti Iced Americano with three pumps of white mocha.

Wheeler and Effie, excited to head to their friend’s birthday party at Claire’s.  They had a blast and loved doing a fashion show!  Wheeler’s dress is on sale!  She’s wearing velour leggings, also on sale.  Effie’s metallic leggings are too.  Effie’s dress is from Southern Belles.  You may remember it from when Wheeler wore it to her Sock Hop a few weeks ago.  So lucky that they’ve always been able to wear the same size!

While the girls were at their party, we took the boys to see The Polar Express on the Jumbotron.  They loved it!  It was just chilly enough to bundle up, but not too unbearable.  So thankful the rain held off!

Cotton Candy Skies.

I think they had just a little fun. 😉

The next morning, I woke up bright and early to head to Kiawah to run the half-marathon.

I’m pretty sure I was the only one wearing a tank and shorts…aside from the skilled marathon runners.  Haha.  I guess I didn’t want to worry about shedding clothes as I ran, and thankfully it paid off.  I never got cold, once I started running.

This was my sister’s SECOND marathon!  Crazy?!  Many of y’all asked how I trained for it.  I honestly didn’t.  I just kept up with my regular three mile runs, took spin class a few times a week and played tennis.  My goal was to run the whole thing and I did it!

That night we attended our friends’ Tacky Sweater Party.  I wore this sweater and Lanier wore this sweatshirt.

Amazingly tacky, right down to the wrapped wine boxes.

The boys’ outfits did not disappoint!

It poured for most of the day on Sunday, but we still made it to church.  It was the Messiah Christmas Cantata, so we couldn’t miss it!  If you’re looking for the PERFECT dress for the holidays, get this one!  The fabric is forgiving and has some swing to it.  The length is great and I just love the bows on the sleeves.  It’s true to size.  The girls’ dresses are from Southern Belles.

Eating lunch at Page’s with my sister’s fam, before they headed home.

For all the rain we had over the weekend, it finally stopped just in time for the Christmas Parade!  Kids had a blast!

Made sure to get the kids these light up necklaces, so I could find them when it got dark.

Such a fun night!

Coat (Lots of questions about the sizing on this jacket.  It honestly depends on how you want it to fit.  I like mine a little roomier so I can layer up underneath if I need to.  So mine is a medium.) // Boots // Scarf // Mittens (on sale) // Hat (oldie but goody by Kate Spade, but scroll below for other cute hats I’m loving)

I hope y’all have a great start to your week!
