Life Lately + What I Wore

A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of visiting my favorite spot to eat in Charleston, The Obstinate Daughter.  Whenever anyone asks the best restaurant, this place has always been at the top of my list!

The gnocchi is my FAVE dish!!

Okay, and I also love everything else too – and the cocktails, can’t forget the cocktails.  Get a William Moultrie while you’re here.  So good!  Above, is their beets appetizer.

Celebrated my friend’s birthday while we were here last time!

Cuties at the book fair.

Since I’m sharing my favorite spots, this is another one I got to enjoy last week.  Goat Sheep Cow.

The raclette dish was delicious!

And their chicken salad sandwich – yum!

After school a few weeks ago, we headed home to Charlotte to visit family.

How sweet is my parents’ greeting with Wheeler?

My niece Maggie with her cousin “Bon.”  When he isn’t around, she asks to watch videos of him.

How sweet is she??  I sure miss the Widgeon coat phase.

And this is one of my nephews, Reid.  It’s been too long since I’ve seen any of them.

Logan with his cousins, Charlie and Bo.

Bo said, let’s pretend we’re kissing someone.  Haha.

Next time it better not be as long between visits!  I wish I’d taken more photos while I was home this time.  Guess I was too busy snuggling with all of them!

Top // Shorts // Racquet // Tennis Shoes

I always enjoy coming home so much!  Can’t believe it’s been since Thanksgiving since I’ve been back!  I will never let it be this long again.  And if I can recommend a lifelong sport, tennis is it!  So thankful my parents instilled in me a love for the sport when I was younger. I took lessons but never played tournaments or competitions.  I did play in high school from 10th grade until my senior year {Go Myers Park Mustangs! 🐎}  Never in college.  But I feel like just learning the basics when you’re younger is so important.  That’s not to say you can’t learn to play later in life.  My mom started playing when she was 38 and is still awesome!  I picked it back up when Vaughn was in his last year of preschool and haven’t stopped.  Praying my children continue to love it as much as they do now, so they’ll be able to play with me when they’re older.  Hoping I can hold my own, like my mom and dad still do today!

In their Sunday best for church!  They’re wearing Shrimp and Grits Kids.  I’m wearing this dress and this jacket.

I hope y’all are having a great week so far!
