Life Lately: Uncork Visit + A Talent Show

A few weeks ago, Lanier and I headed to King Street to try out a new spot called Uncork Charleston.

Had a lot of you ask how Lanier has lost so much weight.  He’s been doing the Keto Diet for awhile now and swears by it!  More specifically, it’s “a very low-carb, high-fat diet. It involves drastically reducing carbohydrate intake and replacing it with fat. This reduction in carbs puts your body into a metabolic state called ketosis.”

Loved everything on the menu, it was hard to decide what to order!

This Bogard Beauty was heavenly!  Eat between 5 and 7pm and cocktails are half-off.

This is what we ended up ordering.  Talk about a spread!  I’d thought originally that we’d eat here for apps then head out to dinner.  But after eating every last crumb of this, we were so full that we didn’t need to eat anything else.

While the charceturie had me sold, I will definitely be coming back for this Black Capelin Icelandic Caviar!  Can’t even describe how delicious this was.  You must try it for yourself!

So how Uncork works.  You put your credit card on a wine card, then slide it in the slot.

You choose which wine you would like.  The prices and amount of ounces per price of wine is noted on screen.

Take your empty wine glass and put it under your selected wine, push the button and you’re all set!  Genius!

I wore this jumpsuit with these wedges.  Can you tell how much I love my wedges?

More food!  My tennis team went out to to lunch on Daniel Island a few weeks ago at a spot called Laura Alberts Tasteful Options.  I’ve eaten at so many places on Daniel Island, but had never heard of this spot.  Thinking it was new, everyone told me it had been here for years.  The above dish is fried brie.  Wish I could be eating it right now!  Delicious!

I also tried their fried green tomatoes…

…and this wrap with a side of bleu cheese coleslaw.  Yes, I was hungry!

My tennis team was undefeated this season, so we’re headed to playoffs in a few weeks!  Here’s hoping we make it to the state finals again!

Took some time to visit south of Broad the other day.  Always love this area, especially when the weather is picture perfect!  Rainbow Row in all its glory.

The girls were part of their school’s talent show a few weeks ago.  Talk about entertaining!  Wheeler and her friends did a dance routine to the Golden Girls theme.  It was amazing!

And Effie sang Edelweiss from The Sound of Music.

Just so proud of both of them!  The courage they had to even get on stage and perform in front of a large crowd was impressive.  I could NEVER do that!  I’m wearing this top (on sale) and these wedges.  Amazon to the rescue for the girls’ outfits!  Wheeler’s dress was perfect and so was Effie’s!  Both were under $20 too!

Wearing our green at church on St. Patrick’s Day!

And last, but not least, I leave you with these comfy pajamas.  They’re called “Dreamy” for a reason.  Seriously some of the softest ones I own and they’re currently 40% off with code: POPUP.  I sized up to a medium for a roomier fit.

I hope y’all are having a great week so far!
