On Friday, my friend Lindsey and I headed to Aiken with our tennis team.  We were competing to win our USTA State Championship.

Our first night, we went Whiskey Alley dinner.

The gnocchi was delicious!

As was the burger!  I split both.

After dinner, we headed over to The Alley Taproom.  Love that it was like the wine rooms we have in Charleston.  So smart!

On Saturday evening, we enjoyed dinner at Casa Bella.  The house is 121 years old!

The lobster ravioli was amazing!

What I Wore

Don’t let this photo foul you.  It was unbearably hot when we were playing in Aiken.  While it was hard to wake up so early, when we got the 8am matches three days in a row, we considered ourselves lucky!  It was at least cooler in the morning.  We still had to play two afternoon matches and it was over 90 degrees!  I think at one point it actually hit 100.  But we fought through it!  If you’re unfamiliar with how the championship goes, it’s a round robin.  There are two singles matches and three doubles matches every time our team plays.  We played three matches from Sat-Sun.  If we won those, then we went to semi-finals on Monday morning.  If we won that one, then we played again soon after for the finals.  I play singles and it was pretty challenging to play five matches in a short period of time, especially in the heat, but it paid off!

I wore this dress to dinner the last night! It runs a little big.  I still went with a small, but could’ve probably done an XS too.

STATE CHAMPS!!  So proud of our team!  We won for the 18+ 3.5 USTA Championship!  It’s hard to see here, but I’m wearing this tennis dress.  It runs small.  I’m wearing a medium.

I think it’s safe to say I knocked out my workouts last week!  These are my stats using the Activity App on your iPhone.   I sync it with my Apple Watch.  Some of y’all asked how I get the ‘Tennis’ work-out to come up on my watch.  When you’re selecting your work-out, select ‘Other’ when you start playing tennis.  When you finish, hit end and it’ll ask you to select a work-out.  Tennis is one of the options.  You only have to do that once and then it’s saved on your watch as an activity.

Anyone ready for summer??  I sure am!  Nude wedges are always my fave all summer long!  Loving these that are on major sale!
