Life Lately: Part Two + What I Wore

We have enjoyed the best holiday season this year!  Last year, Lanier and I were spent a week in Tulum in the middle of it all and I feel like the season just flew by.  While we had a great trip, don’t get me wrong, I’ve certainly been cherishing even more this year.  Since almost all of my wrapping is finished at this point, I’m definitely savoring more of the moments and not thinking of what all I have on my to-do list.  Wore this top with these earrings the other day.  I have a feeling I’ll be wearing this one a lot even after the holidays.  Such a pretty color and print!

Two Sundays ago, the kids and I headed downtown for a fun day!  We started off with getting some photos taken near The Dock Street Theater.  Can’t wait to share them with y’all soon.  Wearing this dress!

Before the quarantine, we visited the theater for shows quite frequently!  It wasn’t until we were there last week that I found out it was one of the most haunted theaters in the United States!  For those of you wondering, it’ll hopefully be back and running again in the Fall of 2021.

Love Charleston at Christmas!

My kids have always loved the aquarium.  We timed it perfectly and arrived right when it opened, so there was hardly anyone there!  They got to feed the stingrays which is always so cool!  I highly recommend it if you visit!  They wanted me to take a pic of them with these signs and asked that I superimpose 2020 next to the Naughty Sign.  Pretty funny.

Praying they’re not prey.

We said this guy reminded us of the Pout Pout Fish.

Visiting Santa sure looks an awful lot different this year.

We headed to Charleston Place to see the trains they have here around the holidays.  The kids were so excited!  But alas, no trains this year.

Such a fun day!  The girls are wearing these sweatshirts and leggings.  The boys tops are Shrimp & Grits Kids and their corduroys are from here.  Seriously got them in almost every color because they were on sale!

Love our colorful palm!

If y’all haven’t seen Jingle Jangle yet, you must!  We loved it!  As soon as the first dance number started, I knew it was the same choreographer as The Greatest Showman and it was!  We watched that a number of times in the theater when it was out because we loved it so much!  So clearly, this new Christmas movie has been watched many times already.

This is our first year with a fake tree.  I have to be honest, in the beginning I was a little reluctant because I love a real tree.  But after Lanier took about 15 minutes putting it together and not even having to arrange the lights…I was sold.  No needles, no deciding on which one, no watering, etc.  Plus, you can manipulate the branches to where you want them.  I’m now obsessed!  So much that I got the children a fake tree for the playroom and they had so much fun putting all of their ornaments on it.  And in reality, our tree was getting too heavy with the abundance of ornaments, so it was nice to let them have some for their tree.  This one has sold out, but I’ll let you know if it’s restocked.  Our tree skirt is from here.  It’s reversible too!

Loving these personalized ornaments.  Currently 50% off!  An unreal deal!

Yes, you’re seeing that correctly.  I started writing out the names, only to realize there were only five heads on this ornament instead of six.  I was going to do it again on a six person ornament, but then decided not to.  Makes it even more fitting for this crazy crazy year, am I right??

My favorite wrapping paper!  ‘Santa Knows How to Floss’

Lisi Lerch just launched these new bracelets.  Would make a great stocking stuffer!

We finished our puzzle!

All the holiday cheer!

We have lit so many fires this year so far!  It’s been so fun!

If you’re looking for a fun stocking stuffer, these little colorful powder packs are awesome!  Got them here.

Tried out a new mask the other night and absolutely love it!  It’s really thick as you can see here, but the results are awesome!

A day night look from a few weeks ago…

Dress // Vest // Shoes

Lululemon just released their newest arrivals and I’m loving so much!  Sharing some of my favorites I own and love, along with others on my wishlist!  Head over here and click on the pic to shop everything above!

Hope y’all are having a great week so far!

  1. Hi Ashley,

I love the 2020 ornament that you personalized. It looks like the version you got is ceramic but I’m only seeing plastic ones on Amazon. Any chance you could send me a link the exact one your ordered? Thanks & I really appreciate any help!

    1. I had so much trouble making sure the ones I received were ceramic. Even when I ordered almost 20 of these to gift to neighbors, half of them were correct and the others were plastic. Obviously, quality control wasn’t great. I actually had to send different ones back and order others because they were all so different and not the ones I ordered in the beginning. Ugh. The link I shared on my post was the one I that sent me the one in the photo, the correct one, but I guess the company keeps changing it. So sorry!
